Dr. Kristen McFarland, MD

Dr. McFarland is fantastic. Just don't want her to get to busy. Good Drs. are hard to find. So very glad I found her.

Dr McFarland always listens, reaches out to specialists if needed and treats her staff well. I am glad she is my doctor.

Had to wait more than 25 minutes past appointment time. She came in and asked, "What can I do for you?" Obviously had failed to read any of the paperwork I had to fill out before I was taken into the small waiting room. She kept interrupting and did not listen to my explanation of why I came to see her. After about 6 minutes, her cell phone beeped. She checked it and said she had to go to the next appointment. Would gladly switch to another doctor in her office, but she belongs to an organization which prevents patients from switching to another doctor in the organization. It will be time consuming to find another doctor, but it will be worth it not to see here again. Ever.

Dr. McFarland listened to my concerns and answered all questions. She worked very diligently to schedule tests, etc. to try to figure out a diagnosis. I would recommend her to anyone!

I do not know how good of a doctor she is. I have a friend who goes to her and her office never returns calls or takes 2 days to return a call. She does not follow up when she is supposed to contact home health care And set up patients 7For home health care.

Excellent... One of the smartest and constructive/planning Doctor I have ever been to. She by far has the patients long term care as an "A" priority. I would recommend her to anyone who wants to have an honest frank smart physician on their side!!

Very good diagnostician and explains in an understandable wat

I was a patient of Dr Taylor...whom I loved. Was worried about changing physicians. I think she is a great clinician, caring & competent!

Dr. McFarland is one of the best primary care doctors I have seen. After moving to Knoxville a couple of months ago, I struggled to find someone that was right for me. Dr. McFarland was a breath of fresh air. She listened to me, asked follow up questions, and gave me more time than any other doctor I have seen. You will not regret going to see her although she is book out about 6 months for new patients because she is very good.

I have had nothing but Outstanding care under Dr. McFarland. She takes time to listen. Friendly office staff quick to respond to phone calls and questions.

Dr. McFarland did not listen to me. She is unfeeling and uncaring. When I called the office for a prescription renewal, the wrong medication was called in to my pharmacy.

She is so impatient and uncaring, I was in tears by the time I got to my car. She did not listen to anything I said. Like othe patients who have left comments, it is very difficult to schedule and visit and then she was in a big rush to get out of the room.

It has been a nightmare since I had to transfer to her. Although it takes weeks for a an appointment, she is always impatient and rushes through to get to the next patient. Does not listen to my account of symptoms. She brags about how great "my practice" is becasue she has so many patients. Obviously she does not give appropriate care she spends so little time with those patients. Definitely will be going to a different doctor.

She is knowledgeable but if your problems to not meet her tidy little schedule (20 minutes maximum with the patient and more than 10 minutes late for any reason) she will not see you or spend the needed time to address your needs. Her office staff is just as cold an uncaring. I have never seen anything so terribly unprofessional in my entire life. I truly hope she reconsiders her professional decision to practice medicine because she does not believe in the Hippocratic oath in the slightest.

Had to find another doctor because she is so unpleasant and arrogant. I saw another doctor in the same office she is in for years. When he left I was forced to see doctor macfarland. She doesnt listen and is always in a big hurry. She spent almost all of my time telling me how she treats "all of my patients". She talks like she has been a doctor for 20 years, but she just graduated from medical school. Would definitely not recommend her to anyone I care about.

She was in a big hurry to get to the next patient and repeatedly cut me off when I tried to explain my symptoms. Although it took me six weeks to get an appointment, she told me I had only 15 minutes with her. She told me my only problem was being overweight. Worst doctor I have ever seen.

Today, was my first visit with Dr. Kristen McFarland as a new patient. She is so personable and professional. She listened to me and discussed a plan of action. I would highly recommend Dr. Kristen McFarland if you are looking for an internal medicine physician with compassion for her patients.
