Dr Visit
1st time I saw her after she took over for Dr Vargo. She doesn’t really listen. Was trying to explain why I was taking the medicine and she wasn’t really listening to why. I felt like her attitude was she is the doctor so that is how it was.

As a new patient seeing Dr. Silverman for the initial appointment she was not at all interested in me and my healthcare needs. Fortunately for me I was also a healthcare worker, realized the indifferent professionalism and quickly went to another PCP.

TOLD HER I'D PASSED A KIDNEY STONE THE PRIOR WEEK AND PASSED A LITTLE BLOOD..SHE IMMEDIATELY HAD ME DO A URINE SAMPLE AND GIVE BLOOD FOR A BLOOD TEST. SHE SET UP APPTS WITH A UROLOGIST, DR. TURNBULL AND A CT SCAN BOTH WITHIN SIX DAYS. THE URINALYSIS = URINARY TRACT INFECTION. SHE IMMEDIATELY PRESCRIBED AN ANTIBIOTIC -NITROFURANTOIN . THE PHARMACIST SAID VERY GOOD CHOICE. THE UROLOGIST SAID THE SAME ALSO THAT THEIR WAS NOTHING FOR HIM TO DO BUT WAIT FOR THE CT SCAN RESULTS-SHE'D DONE IT ALL.

Dr Silverman is now in Gulf Shores, AL. Living there myself for one year I needed a PCP for myself, wife and mother. She was great with my wife and mother but I myself had a car accident with serious injuries. After release from the hospital I needed outpatient care for a hand nerve problem. She referred me to a doctor who, with the help of a physical therapist, got me on the road to recovery of this painful injury. She always listened to me and always knew what was needed; a very competent MD.

I have not seen Dr Silverman. I was given an appointment with her Nurse Practitioner, Brandi Wymer on my first visit and it seems once you see her, you are HER patient. This practice is not interested in giving the best care for the patient but how much revenue they can generate per patient. In Brandi's own words, "I work to get paid." "I work for the man." "I have already taken up more time...." I witnessed three patients leave upset at my last visit. BEWARE!!!
