This surgeon knows his stuff !!!
My daughter was diagnosed with Chiari Malformation in January. We had an appointment with Dr Karath 10 days later. He made my daughter feel very comfortable, answered all our questions. He preformed her surgery in April. He did an amazing job on top of that he has a wonderful bedside manner. He doesn't make you feel like you are wasting hid time. Her incision is healing beautifully. I would highly recommend him.

My back pain is nearly gone
He was very personable and welcoming. He explained everything extremely well. After such a thorough explanation of what was wrong, he recommended kytoplasty, a day surgery treatment. I felt very confident letting him do the procedure. Hospital experience was great. I love the Bedford NH office. It’s very busy but the staff is very friendly and helpful. He does a good job trying to stay timely with his patients. I highly recommend him.

Foot drop
I met Dr Karanth many years ago when I had a never in my back that was acting up. He had to do surgery and I highly recommend him. He is very thorough with explaining what to expect. His bed side manor is like being in a room with a family member. If he can fix it he will tell ad well as if he cannot he will tell you.

Dr. Karanth found my 7+year problem but doesn't prescribe pain relief. I cannot and will not have surgery with no pain relief. That's crazy

I have been seeing Dr.Karanth since 2014, when I learned that I had Chiari Malformation type 1 and Syringmyelia that were causing me to have massive headaches and migraines to the point nothing was helping me, I had live in pain because of them. He’s truly the best doctor I have ever been to, he is trustworthy and knowledgeable, especially with my condition. He takes his time on explaining everything to you, especially on his findings. He listens to you and will answer any questions you have. I have already had two surgeries done by him and since then I’m about to live my life better and the massive headaches/migraines have sufficiently gone away, yes I do got headaches here and there but not like before. He’s the only surgeon that I would trust and allow to do this type of surgery. He’s very thorough about each surgery he did, explain what he was going to do and what the goal would be. Hands down, he is the best, I wouldn’t go to anyone else but him.

I have had operations done by Dr. Karanth, and You have made the right choice, for he is the best and very sure on his findings before taking any actions and discuss them completely with you so you know just what will work and what is the best and safest choice for you. I trust this man completely.

Not sure who to blame here the surgeon or his office staff. My husband had an event that precipitated an MRI. He was dx with a cerebral aneurysm in Feb. Dr Karanth said he was not sure it was actually an aneurysm. Enter covid 19. A CAT scan on June 4th was done and the dx was the same: cerebral aneurysm . Today is June 19th. We have not heard one word from the office of Dr Karanth. I went into the patient portal for Dr Karanth and saw that as of June 4th, his office had the latest CAT scan. So why no call? BTW, my husband called this office around June 10th. No return call. We got a second opinion today. Yesterday I setup an appointment at Lahey, and this morning my husband had a phone conference with another doctor. Do not go to this neurosurgeon unless you want your symptoms to be ignored.

I spent several years going from specialist to specialist trying to find a diagnosis. After just watching me walk Dr. Karanth immediately sent me for MRI, surgery followed three days later. Had it not been for his quick diagnosis, confirmed by MRI, I would not be walking today. Two years later I needed another surgery, So, I went back to Dr. Karanth and am now 1 year out from surgery and have never felt better. Dr. Karanth is very professional, very personable and caring. He explains in terms that I can understand. I can move again with minimal pain and have my life back thanks to Dr. Karanth!

Dr. Karanth is extremely pleasant and warm. He diagnosed my Mom's condition rather quickly and got her into surgery within two weeks. He listened to everything my Mom had to say and answered all our questions with patience and concern. He is honest and grounded, we immediately knew we could trust his judgement. My Mom and I are incredibly happy with the pre & post-op care. We would definitely recommend him.

I was referred to Dr. Karanth by another Physician on short notice due to my declining condition. My first impression of Dr. Karanth was his warm and pleasant manner and he demonstrated that I was the most important case on his agenda at that moment. He quickly diagnosed my condition by physical exam and confirming the MRI findings. He thoroughly explained the procedure that needed to be done and got me into surgery within a week. I am grateful for the professional care he has given me!
