Emergency Aortic Dissection Surgery
In essence, he saved my life. On July 16, 2018, I awoke to severe chest pain and was promptly taken to Phoenixville Hospital, initially diagnosed with a heart attack. At the age of 56, I underwent a helicopter transfer to Lankenau Hospital, where Dr. Plestis performed life-saving surgery for an aortic dissection. I am eternally grateful for his exceptional surgical expertise.During my extended six-week hospital stay, Dr. Plestis exhibited remarkable bedside manner and genuine concern for my well-being. This compassionate care persisted throughout my subsequent follow-up appointments. His nurse practitioner, Jacky McGee, was equally impressive, providing informative support and genuine care.As we approach July 2025, marking seven years since my life was saved, I express my profound gratitude to Dr. Plestis and his entire team.

Dr Plestis replaced ar aortic valve that was bicuspis and also wrapped two aortic aneurysms and I traveled from Delaware to Philly to see him because he had done the surgery on to acquaintances of mine. 3" incision and no blood thiners, he was a life saver for me, and Jackie MaGee is so nice and reassuring 5 stars

DO NOT GO TO DR PLETIS
I’m leaving this review to let other hardworking patients know to never go to Dr. Konstantinos Plestis. I was his patient in 2006 and I wished someone had warned me about his horrendous practice before I made the biggest mistake of my life. Because of his manipulation, I will have to be on a blood thinner and take warfarin. This drug is colloquially called rat poison. It ruins my mental health, makes my body incredibly fragile which has impacted my work as a contractor and ability to provide for my family. It has negatively affected every quality of my life. He had just transferred to Mount Sinai and my surgery would have been his first major surgery. I was hesitant to undergo any procedure for my heart as the other doctor only recommended a minor procedure to clean out my vein. Dr. Konstantinos Plestis however made me feel uncomfortable, using my family history to make me afraid and need to go through with the surgery. I regret this decision to this day.

I was diagnosed with a dangerously large aortic aneurysm in late June '21 and looked to find the best surgeon in the NYC - NJ - NEPA - PHL area. Dr Plestis was highly recommended and NP Jacky McGee was able to get me in quickly despite distance & COVID. Once seen and diagnosed (congenital issue - bicuspid aortic valve) Dr. Plestis and his team were absolutely terrific. I cannot recommend any surgeon or surgical team more than this on at Jeff! I was able to have my heart surgery and aortic repair as a mini sternotomy on Aug 17th and the result IS fantastic. No one has this procedure without being nervous and any surgery is going to come with needles and minor discomfort, but the amazing thing was I did NOT need strong pain medication and I really experienced no pain! My wife and I can't thank Dr. Plestis, Jacky McGee and the team at Jefferson enough. Six months later, I'm fully rehabed, recovered, healthy and working out several hours a week again!

Excellent! He replaced my mitral and aortic valves 12/20/21. He and his staff kept me and my family in close communication throughout from beginning to end. You cant find a better heart surgeon in this region.

Dr. Plestis is an excellent surgeon who is thorough, takes the time to explain the problem and procedure in detail. He repaired an aortic aneurysm that was found incidentally on a chest xray. It has been 2 years and I have resumed all prior activities and more. Thank you Dr. Plestis for saving my life!

Dr. Plestis performed my open heart surgery on 10/31/2017 and determined through an MRI that I had an Ascending Arotic Aneurysm which the Arotic needed to be replaced. I had a prior opinion from another surgeon and decided it would be best to obtain a second opinion. I thank God that my surgery was successful and I am still alive to share my life with my family.

On May 29, 2011 at approximately 6 AM, unconscious, I was brought to a NYC hospital and a little after 7 AM I was operated on by Dr. Plestis for a dissected aorta. I am using this vehicle to reach him to thank him for gift of the past 6 years. As a layman I can't be positive but I'm comfortable in believing that our chance meeting that morning is the only reason that I'm here today and expect to be here at least a bit longer. You are lucky to have him in Pennsylvania. Thanks Doc.

Dr Plestis is the most knowledgeable physician I have ever encountered. When Dr Plestis met my daughters for the first time, he looked them straight in the eye and said he was going to take good care of their mom, and he's done just that. Those few little words meant so much to me.God Bless Dr PLestis
