Don’t waste your time or money
My experience with this doctor was the absolute worst! The first thing he said to me was “hurry up I have things to do today”! I went to him with concerns about specific endocrine test results and an endocrine tumor which he angrily stated that he wasn’t discussing it with me and mockingly said he could refer me to a naturalist if I was really concerned. Please don’t waste your time with this person.

I had questions and concerns about my condition and wanted Dr. Kaltenborn's opinion. He was extremely opinionated and responded to my questions in a defensive and argumentative manner. I felt denigrated for even having these concerns. It was a truly awful experience and it will take me awhile to recover from it.

I recently met with Dr. Kaltenborn for the first time after waiting approximately 7 months to get in to see him after referral. I had multiple conditions I wanted to speak with him about. Have to say that this meeting was probably the most informative I have ever had with a physician. He took the time to review my situation and the records I brought with me plus patiently listened to my concerns and took the time to address them and offer clear, sound advice and direction. The information I got from this meeting will serve me well for years and I am very grateful for that. His support staff was also very friendly and helpful. Being a medicare patient and knowing compensation for my visit is woeful makes me especially appreciative of the treatment I received here.

I just had my first Tele-Med appointment with Dr Kaltenborn and found him very personable and knowledgeable. I was a referral and treated very well. The Dr asked questions and actually listened to my replies and understood my needs. Excellent first visit and I came away confident that I would be receiving the best care possible.

I was so weak, I could barely walk into the office. He said I had depression. Not only is that outside of his scope of practice, but it wasted my time because then I had to wait months more to find an endocrinologist who could see me. Turns out he also missed my thyroid problems ten years ago; if I hadn’t been so ill, I might have realized it was the same doctor. Completely dismissed my concerns twice.

Was sent there by my doctor because he was supposed to be so great at thyroid issues. This quack pokes my finger (Like a diabetic check) says my doctor doesn't know what he is talking about. My thyroid is fine but I should be dead with my cholesterol level. Which was at the upper end of normal.

Visited Kaltenborn for thyroid management. Did not physically examine me, but only asked a few questions, then wrote a two year prescription for a thyroid maintenance drug. Spent little time with me even after I had explained how my thyroid issues had been mismanaged in the past, which fortunately were brought under control by a caring and knowledgeable endocrinologist who unfortunately had to put her practice on hold for family reasons. Kaltenborn didn't listen to my concerns; I felt dismissed.
