Weirdly angry and confrontational
He was explaining my mom’s eyelid surgery to me, and I said, “so you just put a stitch here to stop the drooping?” He immediately turned red (seriously red) and got in my face. “DON’T SAY “JUST”. DON’T MINIMIZE WHAT I DO!”It was a truly bizarre experience. He stared at me for a full 10 seconds, then continued as if nothing had happened. I’ve never seen anything like it, and hope to never again. This man needs help.

De Dookhin is a very caring professional.
Dr Dolphin took wonderful care of my dad until our Lord took my Dad’s hand just before his 97 birthday. My Dad had Alzheimer’s and the care and compassion was excellent. He also provided care for most of my family. As for myself, after having laser surgery by Dr. DellaRisso where my retina was scratched and I developed a severe allergic reaction to the medicine that was dismissed by the DellaRusso group. Dr Kip Dolphi n came highly recommended and provided the care that I needed.

Wondering abd Caring Doctor
I had already gone to two different eye Doctors before getting a referral to Dr. Dolphin. He diagnosed my problem and I began seeing him in a regular basis. I have been more than pleased with his expertise and care!

Well past his prime
This doctor did his damage in NYC, and lost his reputation with me as the expert he was touted to be. In a serious crisis concerning my eyesight he pawned me off to a low vision provider and wasn't positive about the possible results of a complicated surgery I needed. Thank goodness I found providers who care and who performed surgery successfully. Patients in NYC had to send a SASE to his office to receive their records. It took forever to receive them. Absolutely avoid.

I had a field vision test done at his office and never heard from it. I called a month later to learn that the test was “not valid”. No one in the office could tell me what that meant or else didn’t want to. Needless to say, I will not be going back to him. It took me a month to get another appointment for the next test and that was after waiting a month for the first test. I feel I wasted 3 months on this doctor’s office. The office staff is always pleasant and the lady doing the test is very nice.

After my initial visit for ptosis in one eyelid , Dr Dolphin said he would secure records from a Charleston physician who had done surgery for this problem several years ago. Then he would have me back in the office. A visit was scheduled for several weeks later. I arrived at the appointment and learned at the same time as Dr Dolphin that they had not even requested the records yet. Another appointment was then scheduled. I went for the third appointment and Dr Dolphin had no idea if the records had been received. He goes in the office looking for them and comes back with 60 pages. I commented that I thought he would have reviewed them before my arrival and he told me he was Not paid to look at records unless I was in the office for an appointment. I said to him that was ridiculous and that I didn’t think we were a good fit. He said he agreed and I asked for the medical records and left very upset. I would not recommend this practice to anyone! So unprepared and unorganized! And rude
