Great internist
She was our internist at the practice that changed hands 3 times and ended up as Village Medical. She left Village Medical and we were very sorry to lose her. She was attentive and knowledgeable and had a great “bedside” manner. We were sorry to lose her in the west valley.

Mediocre
Compared to a lot of doctors within the Medicaid system, probably more knowledge than most, and overall better than most. That being said the bar isn’t very high. Constantly has her foot out the door like she doesn’t have time for you. Seems to be fairly knowledgeable but doesn’t offer much insight on problems. Could really work on bedside manner and making the patient feel like they’re not the least important thing on the agenda.

I have been a patient of Dr Lucas for about 25 years. She is not only medically astute, but is caring and considerate. When my wife broke her leg on a cruise and we were put ashore in a hospital in Sardinia, Italy. I was confused as to her treatment. I managed to contact Dr Lucas by phone and she spent many calls explaining the treatments the Italian doctors were planning. I felt reassured that they were doing the best on behalf of my wife. I trust Dr Lucas with my life and that of my wife (who has Alzheimer's). When she refers us to a specialist, I know that they are the best in their field and I have several excellent doctors (cardiologist, dermatologist, dementia, urologist, colonoscopy) because of her.

She was my doctor years ago. She was not interested in my medical concerns and made it known I only had 20 min of her time, if that. Her colleague in dermatology she recommended seemed on the same page and acted like I was wasting her time. My decision to find another family physician and dermatologist that was more caring and professional should have happened sooner rather than later.

I have been her patient for years. Unlike the person who said she wasn’t notified I received a letter recommendation for another doctor in the office. I would prefer to follow her to another practice if she has one. The office has been sold to 2 companies in the past 3 years. Not sure it is beneficial to the doctors as I lost a neurologist too.

Dr. Lucas is apparently no longer with Village medical, but she didn't bother to let her patients know, either through an email or a phone call. I've been trying for 10 days to get refills for my heart medicinces, and after 3 emails through the portal and 10plus days I got a call from Village Medical requiring me to come in to see a male doctor who I do not know. I am appalled that Dr. Lucas would leave her patients in a lurch! Shame on her.

I was seen for the first time by Dr. Kim Lucas three days ago for a bad cough, fever, and general fatigue. In response to the current corona virus, she was dressed in disease prevention attire, and I was relieved to see that given the enormity of Covid-19. She was thorough and laid out a plan for my treatment and sent me on my way. She was knowledgeable and efficient and I would recommend her to my own family members.

My Grandmother was a patient of Dr Lucas. She is 89 years old with disbetes. Lucas did not want an endocrinologist involved or any other doctor. Lucas is a pompous “know it all, She yelled at me over my concern my Grandmothers sugars were too high & I wanted her to see a “ specialist”. She is horrible , rude & takes forever to get back to her patients in an emergency. My Grandmother was so unconfortabl. My Mother was also horrified at Lucas’s attitude.Just an overall Incompetent and rude Doctor.

I do not feel Dr. Lucas is fit to be a doctor and the ways that I have been treated to and talked to by her are unacceptable. The ways she treats patients and delivers news comes in a fashion that I can't believe a trained medical professional would speak in. She is especially harmful to young females and is not helpful in answering questions nor addressing concerns in a mature or sensitive way. She is infamous for briefly addressing questions and then leaving without warning. Find someone new.
