Uncaring with unprofessional bedside manners
Dr. Einhorn was the covering OB for the delivery of my son on February 5th of this year. She said she would check on me every 4 hours. She actually only checked on me every 6, or when a problem arose. Prior to start of surgery in O.R. I had an unresponsive episode which resulted in an emergency C-section. No documentation seen of my vitals, interventions, or how long I was unresponsive. During postpartum check Dr. Einhorn documented that I didn't like my surgical scar. I only inquired about it. She prompted me to express my concerns regarding care and then labled me 'confrontational' in her note. She said I don't want to argue with you. My job was to get the baby out safely and that's what I did. I replied and what about my safety? I woke up with oxygen pressed down on my face. She said well that's standard. I replied standard to be unresponsive during a C-section? I told her to please have a good rest of the day. She was dismissive, rude, and wrote falsely of me in her note.

Dismissive Doctor
Dr. Einhorn was my GYN as I began menopause. I was interested in understanding the options for managing menopausal symptoms and asked specifically about hormone replacement therapy. Rather than offering a well considered perspective on the pros and cons of taking HRT, Dr. Einhorn dismissed the treatment option out-of-hand with flippant comments about the risks and telling me that very few of her patients take HRT. I felt belittled and humiliated. I have since switched GYNs and learned that I am indeed a good candidate for HRT. It’s a shame I’ve had to endure the symptoms for a lot longer than necessary.

Pain or Anxiety? Look Elsewhere.
I am just finally getting over what was a really terrible last appointment with Dr. Einhorn. My first appointment with her she was kind and friendly. My second appointment was rushed, and borderline hostile. She ignored my concerns and when I told her the exam was hurting me her response was 'this doesn't hurt, it's just uncomfortable.'I asked her to stop the exam and she did immediately, but then admonished me for not being able to get through it and told me she's 'never had an adult act like this' and other things I don't feel comfortable writing here. After moving out of the area and seeing a different (much more compassionate) doctor I've now learned that I have an actual condition that explains the pain I was experiencing. Had Dr. Einhorn taken the time to actually hear my concerns and not just brushed them off I might have been able to get the help I needed sooner. If you have any sort of anxiety or pain with exams I would look elsewhere.

Dismissive attitude about medical emergency
Just discharged from hospital after having my Nicu baby. Was concerned about disproportionate swelling. She dismissed my concerns and said it was normal and didn’t know what I expected. When I pressed that it didn’t seem normal she said if I was truly concerned to go to the ER but that I was a first time mom and was fine. I was in the Nicu about to hold my son. Husband insisted I go to the ER despite her response/attitude…blood pressure was 208/100 I could have had a stroke or seizure trying to hold my baby in the Nicu which would have been catastrophic for both of us. Would never trust her for anything again.

Dr. Kim Einhorn delivered all 3 of my children, and I was under her care when I lost my second pregnancy at 18 weeks. 9 years ago my life was saved after both uterine arteries ruptured when my daughter was lifted out by a resident during a c-section. She moved fast and intervened before I lost my life from blood loss. It was a mircle that I survived and an even bigger miracle that I recovered with a healthy uterus and was able to be pregnant three more times. She truly cares about her patients and is a trusted and compassionate doctor.

I can't recommend Kim Einhorn enough! She walked alongside me for 36 weeks of a high-risk pregnancy. Women's healthcare can be scary. We put our lives and oftentimes our children's lives in the hands of strangers. Trusting our healthcare providers makes a world of difference.  There was a lot of risk associated with my delivery, and Kim Einhorn was a ROCKSTAR. The peace and confidence that she brought into the delivery room is exactly what I needed, and I think what many women seek. I will forever be grateful for Kim - her instinct, empathy, skill, and expertise is incredible!

I saw Dr Einhorn during and following my pregnancy and she was on the ball the entire time. Not only did she provide warm, empathetic care throughout an emotional pregnancy (my dad died when I was 9 weeks pregnant), she also identified and treated several postpartum issues that could have escalated significantly. She welcomed my questions and saw me for multiple “peace of mind” visits for things like stitches checks, without making me feel silly or rushed. I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Einhorn and I will certainly continue under her care for as long as possible.

Wonderful, warm doctor who takes her time during your visit, never rushing. She asks about your family and kids, remembers what you spoke of on your last visit, and always asks if there's anything you wish to discuss with her. I have seen her for many years and I think she's an exceptional physician, with a warm and caring personality. I highly recommend her.

It may be a self awareness issue, but her communication style was very poor. Always appears to be rushed, distracted, and annoyed. And, her clinical decision making was very questionable. When we changed providers, our new doctor was aware of her reputation and gave us a more accurate picture of what we were going to experience.
