Dismissed and laughed at
I saw Dr. Bolton in January 2022 regarding a skin rash that had suddenly appeared all over my legs. Some lesions had developed, and it was causing me discomfort. When I asked him questions regarding whether I should be concerned if it was infectious, etc., he started laughing at me, pulled a nurse from the hallway, and they both laughed at me together. He then thanked me for “giving him a much-needed laugh that evening.” I saw doctors after my visit with Dr. Bolton, who treated me and the rash cleared up. I was told to contact them if it reappeared, which it did, in June 2022. After further testing and a biopsy, I was diagnosed with a rare skin disorder that can be caused by cancers, autoimmune diseases, GI diseases, etc. I am now under the care of a number of specialists who are conducting further testing to rule things out. My concern is that if something serious is causing this, it has been untreated for months now, and time is the most important thing, which I lost with him.
