WOULD NOT RECOMMEND
Went to him for a lower back surgery due to a worn out joint above my previous surgery. Instead of making the small 3 inch incision above my previous surgery like we had discussed, he completely opened my whole lower back. To this day (surgery was in 2018) I have no idea why, or what he did while he was in there. He NEVER discussed opening my previous surgery beforehand and having seen several Dr's since, I have learned he NEVER TOUCHED the vertebrae he was supposed to fix to begin with! Carle Hospital refuses to send my medical records to any other dr. They also refused several requests for me to get my own records so I could take them elsewhere..?? He is arrogant, dismissive, and has a WORTHLESS bed side manor. Had I had ANY OTHER options, he would have never touched me to begin with! If I ever am able to go back to St. Louis, I'll get the surgery that I need there. I ABSOLUTELY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS GUY...

I’ve never left a bad review for anyone before but his attitude warrants it. He was pompous & each appointment acted as if he’d never met you before (even though it was the 2nd & 3rd time). Changed his recommendations each time he talked to you. Overall horrible experience!
