Dr was GREAT! The office staff were rude
Always had a GREAT experience with Dr. Perry, but at the Cary office, the office staff and schedulers all rude, rushed and sound like they hate their jobs. I called multiple times and hung up when I got attitudes from the office staff & schedulers, because of how they were treating me. I contacted the Raleigh office and they were very pleasant.

A Great Doctor for Accordingly Fitting Patients
I find he's a great doctor, just not the one I could work with best. He was very courteous and professional, he walked me through questions and exams, he was cautious even when being concerns of likely sexual trauma I have. Cautiously considerate, shows experience. But a scope to check for physical damage went wrong when I recoiled from the anesthetic alone without explanation, and when I received it, I had some shock or discomfort that was either physical or some psychosomatic pain. I tried to carefully ask the doctor if he knew if I'd end up in the emergency room from adverse effects, but the office was hoping to finish the scope and move on. The question wasn't answered directly, and I was near being sedated even though I tried to be as composed as I could when calmly asking the question. We amicably agreed to not go through with the procedure, walking away when he saw he couldn't work with circumstances where we both knew we were at risk.

Negligant care
I first visited Dr. Perry in February of 2021 because a CT scan had found a stone in my right kidney that was too large to pass. He ordered a Lithotripsy procedure to break up the stones. I also had urinary tract infection and was being treated by alternating courses of strong antibiotics with maintenance antibiotics. He knew this, but he didn't remove any of the stones that were broken up during the lithotripsy. He didn't even put in a stent to help me pass the stones. By the time the Lithotripsy was done, I had two stones over two cm, one over one cm, plus some smaller ones. I know this because of the X-ray that Wake Med Cary posted on MyChart . Dr. Perry NEVER shared any X-ray results with me during any of my office visits until my LAST visit with him, after I confronted him with the results of my ultrasound. He ordered a CT scan because he didn't believe the results of the ultrasound. The CT scan confirmed the StagHorn stone, and I decided it was time to find another doctor!

Rude, Uncaring
I had been hospitalized for a kidney stone and sepsis so I was getting established with urologist for continued care and monitoring 7+ weeks later by a referral by my GP. Dr. Perry was rude and he told me in his own words he was "abrupt". He was in a bad mood and it was only 8:45 a.m. I sought care elsewhere and was stuck with a $255 bill for his 15 minute cranky attitude. I would recommend going far, far away from him. His ratings are "hot and cold" so read them to be informed.

Horrible bedside manner. Didn’t listen...I have been diagnosed with a condition, had a previous spot with the PA...he stated that bc of that condition and what was going on I should see Perry. Second appt was with Perry. He was angry and stormed out of the room due to me crying bc of the pain, later sent me to have a surgical procedure (exam). His finding...wow, he revealed to ME, the diagnosed condition that I told him and what I had already told his nurse and the PA at the previous appt. Unbelievable! I’ve had this condition for years so I always share when I am seeing a new doc especially a urologist who is to treat the condition!!!! Guess he didn’t bother to check my chart. He is incredibly rude, short tempered, arrogant and obnoxious. I recommend that EVERYONE steer clear.
