I have used Dr Metzger for 3 years now and I am very pleased. He listens to my concerns, is very knowledgeable, and cares about the type of healthcare that you need. I would give him 5 stars

Im so grateful to have found Dr Metzger. I am a new patient of his. Ive had one in person visit and one telehealth visit. He really is the absolute best doctor Ive ever had. The receptionist, medical assistant, nurse, and Dr. Metzger were professional, non-judging, and quick with quality.I would recommend anyone seeking a new doctor to him.

My first appointment with this doctor and he no shows. While it is understandable if someone gets sick and calls into work, it is customary to let your patients know before they wind up scheduling time off of work and making the drive into the office. I took off work to make this appointment and not even the courtesy to let me know. If I would have not called in to cancel my appointment, you can bet they'd bill me or my insurance for wasting their time, but the lack of consideration and courtesy doesn't seem to work in both directions. I did ask if there was another doctor that could see me, but of course there wasn't. Unacceptable and rude.

Treats seniors as intelligent people with a life to live..

I have been seeing Dr. Metzger for a year now, and he is BY AN EXTREMELY LONG SHOT the best medical professional that I have ever dealt with (especially in Johnson City, TN). He is extremely helpful and knowledgeable, but most importantly he is extremely understanding and patient. He is particularly gifted at giving a solution that is best tailored to you, and your lifestyle. I am a college student who is studying Vocal Performance and Cello Performance, and I also spend what’s left of my free time studying piano. This means that much of my hours are [gladly] devoted to practicing my various instruments, which resulted in me overexerting myself and developing an over-use injury. I had been to two other doctors and even an orthopedic in the area that were all giving me very similar advice that go me nowhere, so I eventually had to stop playing for a month and a half. But, when I came to Dr. Metzger’s office, he was able to show me exercises that put me on the mend!

Fantastic! Everything about my visit was great. Dr. Metzger was very understanding and communication was outstanding. The whole staff was very kind and extremely helpful. The vibe I felt in this building from everyone i crossed paths with was great. A++++

I was in a lot of pain from a hip issue and was referred to him for a steroid injection in the hip joint. His office found an appointment that enabled me to see him quickly. The injection provided immediate relief. Dr. Metzger and his staff were friendly, lively and very interested in my treatment and history. He did the reasonably complex procedure without pain, explaining what he was doing as he went along. He and his nurse were very competent, friendly, and gave me plenty of opportunity to ask questions.

Dr. Metzger is genuinely interested in the health of his patients. Takes his time with you during your appointment and listens to you. Highly recommend!
