He appeared in front of my aunt, a 78-year-old woman admitted to Hudson Regional Hospital, and abruptly, without asking anything, told her that she had stage 4 cancer and that she would consider going to hospice. My aunt is very upset, he is not her primary doctor, he is not her oncologist, and she was alone at that time. I believe without a doubt that it is an extremely unprofessional, rude attitude that is neither her doctor, nor has he been her doctor during her stay in the hospital, nor her oncologist. Actions like this must be condemned to the fullest extent. My aunt is very sad and nervous, and all this is coming from a stranger who said such harsh, rude and aggressive words to her

My experience with Dr.Mangone was extremely traumatic. After listening to his “sales pitch” for hospice care for my brother, he made me initially feel comfortable and safe with my decision. As soon as the hospice papers were signed, his entire demeanor changed. He practically kept blaming me for making the decision when I wanted to take my brother off of morphine for him to speak his words which turned out to be his last. I fought with him for my rights to make decisions on my brothers behalf even though I was his POA, I was made to feel like I had absolutely no say after the hospice papers were signed. He was rude, condescending and completely out of line with his behavior. It was a terrifying and horrific experience. I would never recommend him to anyone EVER
