Saved my life and gave me hope
His genuine interest in me and my concerns. His confidence and reassurance that I could get thru this. Never felt rushed. Explained what to expect. I had 2 craniotomy’s with him. Each time he was able to get the whole tumor. He made what was a terrifying diagnosis seem doable. Forever grateful. Highly recommend.

Horrible rude doctor
Horrible doctor, rude condescending mean person. Mocked me for asking too many question,.. well since he provided NO information on my condition or the options to treat it I had to ask. Has been NO help at all with my meningioma. Time for a new doc. Avoid him!

I had a brain biopsy performed by Dr. Kevin Judy on February 16, 2009. It was to determine what a large amount of cysts and lesions were comprised of. Ver fortunately, the cysts and lesions were determined to be neurosarcoidosis. Even while I was in the hospital recovering from the damage that had been done, Dr. Judy had already handed me off to another doctor. He never called or checked in on me to see how I was recovering. My last day of work was February 15, 2009 as I was incapable of performing any duties at any job. It is now October 5, 2020 and I haven’t been able to drive or work. I live off of disability and am paid once a month. I tried numerous times to sue, but no one will help me. I’m only 44 years old and am forced to live with my parents. I do not recommend Dr. Kevin Judy for any type of surgery. Awful.

Great experience!!My daughter was diagnosed with a large Epidermoid cyst in February of 2019, she was 19 years old. After seeing a physician in our area he referred us to get a second opinion with Dr. Judy, as he offered some different approached for the surgery. We were scheduled for the consultation within just a few days. Dr. Judy was very patient with my daughter who has anxiety and was very upset after learning of her diagnosis. He said he could do a small incision and hide it in her eyebrow for vanity or she could go the conventional craniotomy route which is what she chose. Although we really liked and trusted the first doctor we saw, we decided to go to Dr. Judy as he was the teacher/mentor of the first physician. We had his blessing and he highly recommended him also if that was our choice. My daughter was scheduled for surgery a few weeks later with great results, Dr. Judy was able to remove the whole cyst. We appreciated Dr. Judy's knowledge, confidence and his dry se

Upon learning I had a cyst in my brain I was told to immediately schedule time with Dr. Judy. Dr. Judy's arrogance overwhelmed my experience as he told me it was nothing and I'm fine as he sees this all the time. While I have been experiencing painful symptoms, he disregarded my concern and acted nonchalantly about my condition and told me to forget about having the cyst. While cysts can turn to tumors or worse over time, I found him to be disrespectful and not helpful at all.

While a brilliant mind and an expert in his field, Dr. Judy's arrogance and dismissal of my mother's symptoms re-presenting soon after surgery has impacted our family's life for years.

Dr Judy performed brain surgery on my husband in 2013 to remove a grade 4 glioblastoma. He gave me and my family an additional 3 1/2 good years with my husband to cherish. I am extremely thankful to Dr Judy and his team for this blessing. He treated our family with respect and compassion. He prepared us for what to expect. My husband's journey is over, but the care, compassion and support will be remembered by a very grateful family. Thank you Dr Judy.

Awful experience. Dr. Judy was curt and dismissive in discussing my dad's pituitary tumor. Not helpful at all in discussing options. During surgery, he only opened and closed, if that, and left the major part of the surgery to a resident. My dad was left with double vision and worse, never able to read a book or drive again, and Dr. Judy disappeared the next day on vacation. Never did he follow up to see how my dad was post surgery, and we never heard from him again.. He ruined my dad's life.

I had a meningioma removed by Dr. Judy at Jefferson in 2013. Began seeing hm for the condition in 2010 at University of Penn. He was very kind, caring and explained everything so it was easy to understand. His bedside manner and level of care is phenomenal! I would highly recommend him!

Dr. Judy removed my tumor about 10 years ago, and during my treatment, I felt very important. This was because he took the time to explain every step of the surgical process and recovery. I had an amazing outcome that was the result of his experience, a team that was totally patient centric and his communications to my wife through the 16 hour surgery and the skills, knowledge and intellect to scientifically treat the patient but also the good humor and humility to be approachable and caring.

I've been a patient of Dr. Judy's since 2003, when he practiced at HUP. His knowledge & surgical skills are nonpareil. I endured a dangerous, critical craniotomy in 2003 & had no complications, aside from hearing loss, which he prepared me for in advance of the surgery. Excellent bedside manner & patience in providing explanations is tops. I have 2 family members with brain tumors--both had successful surgeries w/Dr. Judy. I've seen him as a patient & as a patient advocate. He's #1 in my book.

Has a nice personality and bed side manner. I felt comfortable with him. When you first meet with him he takes time to review your paper work and explain your condition to you along with all your options. He answered all my questions and seemed to be very knowledgeable.
