Dr Jillson is a good doctor
I have read several reviews about Dr Jillson. When I had my first visit, he was wearing two masks and I was asked to wear one, as well. I was expecting the worst but I was impressed by him. I found him to be very intelligent and kind. He listened to me and the reason why I was there. He sent me for testing and physical therapy. I can understand that he may fear getting covid. I lost very close family members to covid. He is being judged for wearing masks and having his patients wear masks. Could he have a weak immune system? I admit he seems awkward. I honestly feel he may have a form of autism. I know several folks that have autism and they react the same way.

Fantastic Pediatrician
I am surprised to read negative reviews about Dr. Jillson. He is my children's pediatrician and I have nothing but good things to say about him. He goes out of his way to check in with me about my kids' health issues after I have called or been seen at the office. He is super responsive to messages over the portal and I feel he takes his time reviewing information. I would recommend Dr. Jillson for a pediatrician to any body.

Patient since 2018
I can't speak to the experience of an anti-vaxxer, as I firmly believe in science, public health, taking basic protective measures during a pandemic, and overall caring about the wellbeing of other people.... But Dr. Jillson's been my PCP for 5 years and I'll soon be going well out of my way to see him for sports medicine, too. He's very bright, knowledgeable, and cares a great deal for his patients and the integrity of the medical field. Being a younger adult with health problems, I appreciate that he doesn't brush me off because I "shouldn't" have a disease yet. He's very thorough with testing, and communicative both in appointments & through the patient portal. He and his staff jumped through a ton of hoops for me to help me get re-approved for a critical medication I'd been taking for 15 years but insurance decided to stop covering. I've lived in multiple parts of the country, experiencing different types of medical systems, and Hopkinton/Milford are lucky to have Dr. Jillson.

Nice but VERY awkward experience.
I've been seeing Dr Jillson for the last 3 years, 2 of which have been during Covid. I thought the arm's distance approach was due to the pandemic - he uses the phone to call my phone from the other side of a door to answer the basic questions before coming in for an examination wearing 2 masks plus a face shield and had me wear a mask... Just saw him and he's still doing it? Its a very awkward experience.

I feel like someone has to defend this guy.
I feel so sorry for Dr. Jillson and had to give him some praise. I was in with him last week to discuss some very troubling news, and overheard his previous patient yelling at his nurse and then yelling at him. From what I could hear, this patient was very upset about a poster in the office promoting the COVID vaccine, and called it "f***ing liberal propaganda." After finishing up with that patient, Dr. J came in to see me and maintained a very professional and calm/kind demeanor. I think Dr. Jillson's bedside manner is fine. He's a bit reserved, and does a lot of the time for his appointments over the phone (but he does come in to examine you after you get off the phone), but I always feel heard and I understand his reasoning for limiting face-to-face time given everything going on. He's very knowledgeable and helped me through a very hard time in my life.

Zero bedside manner
I have only been a patient of Dr. Jillson for three years and have seen him for my physical twice and both times have been severely disappointed with his lack of any personal touch and cold bedside manner. The latest episode convinced me to stop seeing him altogether. Background I am unvaccinated and he essentially treated me like a leper while espousing false narrative driven statements and not completing a thorough exam. He could not escape the room fast enough while wearing a facemask and faceshield and gloves as if ebola was floating around the room. Because of this last visit I am no longer using him as my PCP.

Dr. Jillson's was my Dr. for the last 2 yrs. and I cannot really say anything good about his interest my health or bedside manners. I think his bedside manners may improve with time and with patients providing input and of course his taking feedback. Any Dr. that will not look at you in the eye when you talk to them is either not confident in their skills or just missed basic etiquette lessons. But in general his detached approach of in an out of the office, assembly line insurance driven patient management will lose more people than he is able to keep. Even a few of the people I recommended at first provided the same feedback. Anyway all the best to you Dr. Jillson....take sometime getting to know your patient and learn some basic eye contact engagement skills....it will go a long way.

I saw Dr. Jillson for hip pain, and I'm glad I did. He did an injection and I had almost complete relief of my arthritis. He also took the time to explain the risks and benefits of surgery and other treatments. Would strongly recommend for anyone dealing with hip arthritis.

I switched to this doctor a few years ago. My prior doctor on my physical’s would check my blood work and do a total Blood count. This doctor didn’t. As a matter of fact on my second physical he did not even check my cholesterol and blood sugar. Being almost 50 years old I think it’s vital that you get that checked every year. My prior doctor would check my liver and kidney functions he did not seem to think it was needed. I honestly don’t think he is a well experienced doctor and needs more training. I went to him with a shoulder injury he did an x-ray and told me it was just arthritis. So I took the liberty to go out of network to another doctor and I was diagnosed with a torn rotator cuff. It seems that Dr. Jilson is more worried about saving insurance companies money then helping his patients. Come next year I will not be going back to him and I will have a new doctor. I highly recommend if you want to stay healthy stay away from this doctor!!!
