I too would like to know why he abruptly abandoned his patients without giving us forewarning and enough medication refills to try and find a new doctor. Are you dead Dr Hicks, sick or what. Very disappointed in this, I have been a patient of his for at least 10 years. He's also on the board at SRMC.

Why did Dr Hicks close his office? I do hope he will open his doors again. Someone please explain why he has permanently closed, his patients would like to understand.

From the time we walked in our visit was wonderful. The receptionist was very professional and courteous. Dr. Hicks was just great. He explained my wife’s issues to her when the visit was over we felt very pleasant and cared for. I would recommend Dr. Hicks highly.

I have been seeing Dr. Hicks for many years. He is very thorough and really tries to help me with my fibromyalgia. He really spends a lot of time discussing and explaining treatment options. **I see a review that says he closed the Colonial Heights location in April 2019. This is not correct. I just was there the middle of Sept 2019 and have a follow up in October 2019.

I started seeing Dr. Hicks a few months ago. He is one of the most patient, inquisitive and thorough practitioners I have ever seen. Dr. Hicks takes his time with patients and really does an excellent examination, both physically and historically. I am very fortunate to have come across him! I recommend him with no reservations!

I was misdiagnosed with osteoarthritis by another doctor and was treated for 2 years before seeing Dr. Hicks. Doctor Hick diagnosed rheumatoid arthritis and said he wished he had seen me sooner. He has worked wonders for me. He is very patient and listens to your issues. He has worked with my insurance provider as well as drug manufacturers and assistance programs to help make my treatment affordable. I have already recommended Dr. Hicks to my friends who have suffered from RA.

had my first appointment with Dr. Hicks this morning & it was a very informative session. He patiently explained my health situation to me and fully answered my questions, even getting a book to show me a picture so I could see how I am impacted by my health condition. My file did not contain all of the testing results, so he had his assistant call to obtain my files and test results! And, he patiently explained to me the treatment plan and what results I can expect!

I have been seeing Dr. Hicks since 2008 for scleroderma. He actually saved my life. I had been misdiagnosed for a year and on my first visit he knew exactly what I had and sent me to a specialist in Georgetown. He is a wonderful, caring doctor and I would recommend him (and I have) to anybody that needs a rheumatologist!

I never thought I could have the quality of life that I have today... thanks to the care and direction I have received from Dr. Hicks! I have only been under his care for a short time, but the chronic pain I have experienced for so many years has already dramatically improved... and I am doing things that I never imagined I could ever do again. I trust him and his staff... and highly recommend his office. I wish I had not sacrificed so many years before scheduling that first appointment!
