Awful doctor
My family and I whole heartedly believe that he destroyed our mother not just with substandard care but by overmedicating without any option for titration. Because of the way her case was handled she was permanently damaged and her quality of life will never be the same.

Not much of a talker - or listener
Dr. Pierce does little to draw out any information from the patient. If you don't volunteer information, he won't ask. He once asked me the standard question "are you experiencing suicidal thoughts. I said, "every day". His response was to "keep the meds the same and see me in 4-6 weeks". I don't believe he was listening to anything I was saying. He prefers virtual visits but, with him in particular, in-office visits are much better. I saw him for about a decade because I couldn't find anyone else. It seems there are quite a few new doctors coming in to Bay City and Saginaw. I don't know how good they are, but it would certainly be worth the drive to find out.

I just read the scary review and had to post. Dr. P was with us for my mother's long decline through dementia. The meds he prescribed were helpful, but eventually nothing worked because her brain had deteriorated to where she was angry/violent. I am grateful that he helped improve the time she had left, before she didn't know who we were. Most mental illnesses can't be cured, but they can be managed. I hate dementia, it is horrible. But thanks to Dr P, we survived the pain.
