After the older doctors retired, I was worried about who would replace them. Dr. Kerri Scherer is wonderful and caring, taking her time to explain things and ask questions that I wouldn’t even think of. A huge plus also is that they are NOT part of Novant (or Atrium Health), which means they choose not to be, otherwise they would have to pass those inflated costs onto their patients. I steer away from either whenever I can because their focus is on making $$—not caring for patients. The doctor offices that are a part of either now, are likely the same. I knew that was going to be the case when they first came around. As long as Hawthorne OB/GYN remains true to their patients and steers away from Novant and the like, I will certainly remain loyal to them.

Dr. Scherer is wonderful! She listens intently to all concerns and answers all questions thoroughly. Dr. Scherer has provided solutions and given excellent care to myself, my family and friends. Even after my family moved over an hour away, I still return to Winston-Salem for annual checkups with Dr. Scherer. I trust her completely! She is so knowledgeable and helpful in all OB/GYN matters - infertility, ob, lactation, perimenopausal concerns, postmenopausal concerns.
