Dr. Kent Marangi, MD

I saw Dr. Marangi for pain in my left knee. During my initial exam, he said it appeared that I had a torn meniscus. An MRI was done, and it was confirmed. After discussion with Dr. Marangi, we elected surgery to repair the damage. He kept me informed during the process and the day of the surgery he spoke to me, and we discussed the surgery again, and asked if I had any questions. I saw his Physician Assistant; Scott Stephan and he was very helpful and informative. He assisted Dr. Marangi with my surgery. My experience with Dr. Marangi, PA Scott Stephan and Community Orthopedic Medical Group was OUTSTANDING.

Dr. Marangi, PA Scott and Assistant Virginia are all rock stars. Always willing to fit you in and work with you on any issue regarding the injury and/or surgery. My son broke his fibula and within 10 days we were in surgery and beginning rehab. 3 months later and he is cleared and has fully healed. We still have some work to do to get him to 100% but Dr. Marangi and team are simply the best in Orange County!

I have been going to COMG for many years. I have been a patient of Dr. Marangi, Dr. Evangelista, Dr. Morris, and Dr. Burdi. Every doctor/surgeon that has treated me has been great. My most recent surgery was for my rotator cuff and bicep tendon by Dr. Marangi. The surgery went smoothly and the after care was excellent too. My shoulder is back to being fully functional and virtually pain free. I can golf and woodwork again with no shoulder pain. I am extremely happy. I highly recommend Dr Marangi and COMG to anyone needing orthopedic help.

Dr Marangi actually prayed over me at my last appointment before performing an unnecessary surgery on me that week. Every single photo of the operation was blurred and never proved there was a problem. He was nice at first, then started speaking to me in a very condescending way any time I asked for clarification. A few years later I still kick myself for not running for the hills. Zero stars. Don’t be stupid like I was.

Dr. Marangi, Dr. Marangi was extremely helpful in my recovery of my shoulder and neck pain. He was extremely thoughtful in my concerns about my pain and my recovery. I felt very blessed to have been under his care.

I saw Dr. marangi for approximately 6 months during that time he never took my shoulder injury serious leaving me in terrible pain and without the use of my left arm. After further review and MRI w/contrast, a 2nd orthopedic surgeon Dr. Smith located in Tempton Ca, that I was diagnosed with a torn rotator cuff and torn labrum. I would never recommend dr marangi to anyone I cared about.

Dr. Marangi and his team gave me fantastic new knees in 2019! He performed a total knee replacement on both knees. Since then, and now two years later, I can hike up and down hills, play pickleball and paddle tennis, dance, climb stairs with ease, and walk miles with no knee or leg pain! The pre-op team provided me with information and direction; the administrative team was very efficient in the insurance approval process. As I followed the advice from the pre-op team, I had very little pain after surgery and no pain after 3-4 weeks. On the day of the surgery, Dr. Marangi and his surgical team took great care in making me feel comfortable, providing me information and answering my questions. Dr. Marangi referred me to a very qualified physical therapist, who understood how to challenge me to become stronger. I am very thankful to Dr. Marangi and his whole team who gave me a much greater quality of life than I had before my surgery. I highly recommend Dr. Marangi and his team

Dr Marangi recently performed a total new knee on my mom. He is absolutely a skilled orthopedic surgeon. He corrected my mom's knee from a previous surgery, taking her from barley able to walk to almost complete recovery within 4 months. In addition, he truly cares about his patients. Dr Marangi did 2 knee replacements over a 2 yr period. I had a lot of pain before the operations and after his capable work I can do all my old activities. He is wonderful, caring and a very skilled orthopedic doctor!! I highly recommend him as a surgeon. I am a senior that is very glad to be pain free once again. Judy Kline-Truhill

I had partial tare to my rotator cuff from sports injury. Dr Marangi did accurate diagnosis, and assigned least invasive treatment, therapy rather than surgery. I have 100 % recovery.

Dr. Marangi performed a meniscal repair on my wife. He did a beautiful repair. He Is technically gifted and has a great bedside manner. I am an orthopaedic surgeon and chose Dr Marangi for my wife's surgery. I highly recommend him. He's great

I am a massage therapist, my work means everything to me. I had two badly torn muscles, no bursa left etc... It was bad! Dr. Marangi took the time to make sure I had full range of motion before he finished and in stead of cutting my shoulder open he add holes to assure I would have a strong recovery. His PA was stellar and his staff priceless! That was 6 years ago. My shoulder is great! I have recommended Dr. Marangi to friends and will continue to do so. Thanks Doc! Donna Hess
