Dr. Kenneth Sunnergren, MD

Dr. Sunnergren was the physician on call when I had my recent cardiac stress test. My cardiologist ordered the test because I was having frequent episodes of shortness of breath and dizziness with exertion. I thankfully did well with the test which prompted Dr. Sunnergren to ask “why exactly was this test ordered for you?” and comment “I can’t believe Medicare is paying for this.”. I am 74 years old and given my symptoms, I believe it was perfectly appropriate for me to have this non-invasive test as one rule out for cardiac dysfunction. His comments were very unprofessional and insulting to my own cardiologist, who is excellent. I hope I never have to deal with Dr. Sunnergren again in a medical capacity.

Had a calcium score test several months ago scheduled by my dad’s cardiologist (Sunnergren). His ofc had the results two hours after the test but didn’t call me back for two weeks to review the results and schedule an appointment, even after I left several messages on every prompt of the answering machine and his front desk promised me on two different occasions that I would receive a call back by the end of the day. Finally, I took my 86 year old dad to his appointment today. I am his caretaker. He has dementia. They left us in the exam room for 40+ minutes! Sunnergren finally came in, with an attitude because I had opened the door and asked the desk if he was coming. He was immediately rude and very unprofessional to me! He even got in my face aggressively, saying he owned this practice and we could go find another cardiologist. Horrible patient care. Horrible service. Horrible time management. The worst “doctor” I have ever experienced! He is a disgrace to his profession.

I have been a patient for many years, he is one of the best. He listens, does not rush you out , and is very knowledgeable. Five stars

Very personable and efficient. I have a lot of confidence in his educational background, experience and am glad to find a doctor of his quality here in Sussex County.
