Falsified a PIE for OWCP USDOL
Using an outdated method the AMA in 2009 specified WHO methods for DBI and not ROM are more accurate for LEI Spinal Impairment Ratings. His ROM exam led to a 1% rating which Dr. Graf and Dr. Forrest rated 10-24%, but would not complete their reports to use the July/August 2009 AMA Newsletter. Dr. Graf and Dr. Walsh are Referee Doctors.

Patient Factory. Spent little time reviewing my MRI. I could see him texting in the hall before he saw me. Then he Dissapearred for many minutes. Not prepared. Had to drag information out of him. Although it appears he did give me a mostly correct diagnosis on my lower back pain. I went for a second opinion after I saw him. Wont go to him again.

As others have noted in their previous comments "Dr." Polivy receives a high volume of workers comp related patient's for a reason. I wish I had done my research ahead of time so I would have brought my attorney or at least another witness because the physical "exam" was an absolute joke. He had terrible bedside manner and whoever the woman he brought in the room with him awkwardly stood in the corner and looked miserable. He barely touched or moved my injured arm in a way that would allow him to determine or confirm what type of injury I had. He would ask me questions and then cut me off as soon as I started to answer him as if he didn't want to hear something that could affect what he would later write. He also reviewed the MRI's I brought for him for no longer than 5 minutes. I don't even know how he could have put the DVD in his computer and opened it that quickly let alone review it. He came back in and told me the injury looked the same in both MRI's but then documented that th

I observed his so called examination of a co worker for workmanscomp case. The doctor was short with her and barely examined her. He refused to answer questions and concerns she had. He had a waiting room full of w/c clients that he said he needed to get too. ??

I went to Dr. Polivy for an independent medical review for a injury I received at work. I found him to be very professional and efficient. He went through my file, spoke to me at length about my symptoms, examined my injury and gave me his opinion on my plan of care. I was very pleased with him and would return to him if needed. I cannot comment on billing or scheduling because it was a workmens comp issue and my company handled that.

I would give 0 stars if it was possible. Poor bed side manner and atrocious administrative team. Doctor preferred to not answer questions and was running a patient factory to drive up his bottom line. Administrative team did not submit my services correctly to insurance and wouldn't return my calls when seeking a follow up appointment. Luckily I was able to appeal through my insurance and get it resolved after a month. Insurance company had to call 4 times to have the office resubmit bill.

Dr. Polivy spent only a few minutes with me, did not complete a verbal medical history and had no compassion or understanding of the pain I was in.
