Dr. Macek is extremely intelligent and very caring. I was debating whether or not to try to get pregnant again due to a number of issues including previous miscarriage and advanced maternal age. He thoroughly explained the risks and helped me to make an informed decision. When I finally did get pregnant a few months later, Dr. Macek took great care of me during the pregnancy. I highly recommend him!

Went to him over a year ago for a cyst on my ovary that caused pain during my periods. He refused to remove it. A year ago, I began having horrible daily pain, due to endometriosis. After months of begging him for surgery or a referral to a specialist, I finally had to tell him to give me a referral or I'd pay out of pocket for a specialist. He refused to give me pain relief and wanted to put me on high estrogen BC. (Endo feeds of estrogen and I told him that type of BC makes me severely depressed, but he kept insisting.) Finally had my surgery with a different Dr, and had to remove an ovary because the cyst had hemorrhaged and had been bleeding back into itself. (She also removed some Endo.) I'll never go back to this man. Maybe he's good at delivering babies, but DO NOT go to him for endometriosis. Plus, he does ablation surgery, not excision. I will never ever, ever go to him again.

Dr. Macek is an exceptional doctor. He truly cares for his patients. He is compassionate, dedicated, and kind. He never rushes and always takes time to answer questions. A truly great doctor.

Suggested my C section after only 12 hours with my water artificially broken by another doctor when I was only 2cm

I first became a patient of Dr. Macek's when I was 19 (now 28). This was Dr. Macek's first year of practice at the time; he has a truly wonderful and consistent bedside manner. He is one of the rare doctors out there who still cares about his patients. He has set an incredible standard for me when it comes to doctors, which is probably why i refuses to be treated by anyone else when it comes to ob/gyn issues. I've been with him for almost 9 yrs now and don't see that changing anytime soon.
