Dismissive, Rough, Rude, & Uncaring
I went in to see Dr. Healey yesterday because I was very concerned about extremely sharp pains, cramps, and constant spotting I have been experiencing for the past 2 weeks. I have an IUD & have been diagnosed for several years with PCOS, a hormonal neuro-endocrine condition, so I was extremely concerned that either my IUD was out of place or that my hormonal IUD was no longer treating my PCOS symptoms. Dr. Healey was completely unconcerned about my pain, belittled my symptoms & medical conditions, & acted like he did not even believe what I was saying. Additionally, he was very rough with the ultrasound exam, to the point of it being physically painful. He also told me I needed to “watch the carbs”. When I left, I cried for hours. I wish I had spoken up while I was there, because his behavior and the way he treated me is just unacceptable. I have never felt so unseen and unheard by a medical professional, & I definitely would not recommend any woman to see Dr. Healey as a patient.
