Dr. Kenneth Aguirre, MD

Dr Aguirre is not a good choice for your health care services. ( Maybe why he no longer work in Ochsner's system. 1st his office manners are not good, his tactics just made me mad and frustrated. Prior to him leaving Ochsers Dr Aguirre had seen me for over a yr.. My last few visits where for a knee injury, x-ray where done and he said I had bone on bone issues and gave me a cortisone shot in the dr's office and sold me a expensive brace. The shot did not help and he got approval for 3 gel injections. 6 mo had past and I had lost faith in his abilities. I sought a 2nd opinion. 2nd dr did xrays and MRI a told my I had no bone on bone problems and that I had a torn PCL. Recommended a knee sleeve and time to heal. within 45 day I could walk without pain. In closing make a better choice than I did.

He has lost the love for his job and it shows. He doesn’t listen to your concerns. He cuts you off and the only thing he says is lose weight when that has nothing to do with the issue. Absolutely a complete waste of time and it’s offensive. The office was clean and the staff was very friendly but he’s no help. Go to someone else that cares.

We came for a knee injury, which Dr. Aguirre took care of. But he had read the chart and knew that at the same time as the knee injury the patient had a concussion, so he asked about that too and was very careful to not allow the teen to blow off symptoms.

Upon my first visit to Dr. Aguirre, he brushed past me and blurted out his name quickly and wanted to rush into me telling him the problem and getting out of his office. I asked if he reviewed the chart, he said he looked at it but didn't want to take a deep dive. I asked to get to know my provider and he was indignant and then began the initiation of blaming the patient and pushing the patient to terminate the visit, as asking medical questions is what he saw as a "waste of time" as he was only going to give me 15 minutes and only focus on one problem of a complicated condition that is related to more than one thing and all connected as a whole dismissing and missing any comprehensive review. The total lack of respect and ego of this doctor was outrageous and belittling. He was offended that I asked questions and walked out and refused medical care. This misuse of power and power dynamic is disturbing and reflective of what Oschner LSU tolerates and hires.

Dr. Aguirre was very pleasant during his visit. He is very knowledgeable about his work and plus, he focuses directly on his patient. I look forward to my next visit with him.
