I sincerely urge you to reconsider practitioners before booking an appointment with Dr Legel. I went in to get a bunion fixed and although the equipment broke, he chose to continue moving forward with my surgery. I woke up with a rod coming out of my toe that within the year would cause enough bone erosion and arthritis to warrant a permanent toe fusion among other issues (he dropped a screw in my foot that he said was to difficult to find and remove). I have spent thousands in revision surgeries (yes plural) and physical therapy in order to get back to the active lifestyle I once lived. There are many options in podiatry around DFW. I urge you to continue searching. Thank you for your time.

I battled to get rid of a wart on my right foot for well over a year! I tried everything only to have it come back. Dr. Legel was professional, gave me percentages using different protocols for removing the wart and was successful in removing the wart after only 1 treatment with the Swift Microwave treatment. He said it usually takes 2-3 treatments. After the first treatment he could have easily done a second treatment but it was looking so good, he recommended we wait and recheck again in a month. At that visit, it appeared it was completely gone. He asked to schedule one more appointment and if it still looked good before the appointment to just call and cancel the appointment at no cost. There were multiple times he could have recommended treatment to line clinics pocket but he never did. He is honest, ethical and very knowledgeable on my condition and treatment. I am so grateful I used him and that pesky wart is finally gone.

I hadn’t had a diabetic podiatrist since the Pandemic and lost Medicare so, after a few years I was put on Medicare. I went shopping for a diabetic-oriented Podiatrist to resolve, my suffering and neglected feet. After doing some online research to find a podiatrist, I chose Dr. Legel based on the online reviews. I became his patient and am please with my choice.He’s knowledgeable, pays attention to detail and proactive about resolving problems. I also like the electronic notifications and check in for appointments; and an electronic summary of your visit. They are very up-to-date on technology. I got some age on me, and I forget sometimes.He prescribed me my first diabetic shoes with custom inserts. I even had a big blister on my leg that burst. He was more responsive than my Dr. at a Parkland Community Center. He educated me on how to assist the healing. I am happy and I think you will be happy to.

I've been seeing Dr Legel for several years now, for sport-related injuries on both of my feet, one required foot surgery by him to correct the problem. Dr Legel is a rare doctor, IMO. He's very competent, asks detailed questions, makes sure any tests needed are done or ordered, then discusses the results w/you, discusses your treatment options, involves you in the decision process, executes the treatment and follows up. If I could find doctors in other specialties , like endocrinology, orthopedic surgery, dermatology, even GP, that were as good as he is in his field, I would feel myself truly blessed.

After a terrible fall, I knew my injuries were severe. I was nervous about what I would be told about my ankle...what if I needed surgery! I got past my fear and started looking for a specialist in my area. Seeing Dr. Legel already had high ratings, I called to make an appointment. From the first phone call with J. (office manager) to his nurse, Leticia, then to Dr. Legel himself was such a wonderful experience. They are friendly, kind, they listen, they explain, and most of all...helped me out of my anxiety. They have a patient for life! Thank you so much Dr. Legel, J., and Leticia.

I have had two more-than-satisfying visits with Dr. Legel. He has a friendly, relatable manner about him and most importantly he is thorough and competent. The rest of the staff are also friendly and professional. All-around impressed!

Dr Legel and his staff are very easy to work with. I think he is a very caring doctor. I have had two bunion surgeries that healed well until I accidentally stubbed my left toe. He is working on getting those issues taken care of I recently noticed he had one of those Quell devices. I have been using it and I am seeing great results with my arthritis pain There’s an App that you use My pain level is changing from 7 and 8 to 2 and 3. Ask the doctor about Quell

I think Dr. Legel is good at what he does, but in my experience this practice is poorly run. I was put off by the attitudes of the front desk staff and the nurse. Then I never heard back about the results of two tests I had done, so I called the office two weeks later. One of my test results was ready, but they never sent over the prescription. They told me the second test had "failed" because of a problem with the temperature, so I have to re-do it. I suppose no one was ever going to tell me.

My overall experience with Dr. Legel and his staff was excellent! My wait time prior to being seen was minimal. Dr. Legel and the staff were all nice and thorough. I have seen other doctors and all they have wanted to do is clip my toenails or suggest surgery. Dr. Legel's exam was comprehensive and he gave several treatment options to address my underlying issue, and surgery was not one. If you have problems with your feet and want them taken care of, Dr. Legel is the one to see.

My husband was having severe foot issues. We thought he would have to have suregery. Thankfully, we came upon Dr Legel. We found he does all of his research. Surgery is always a last option. He quickly diagnosed multiple issues. My husband had lots of things he had to do for stretching, etc, but has recently been released without surgery! A few months later- I was having severe footpain due to plantar fasciitis and he was able to help me as well! Dr Legel and the entire staff are second to none!

Dr. Legel is the finest Podiatrist in the Dallas-Fort Woth Metroplex. He is extremely knowledgeable and compassionate doctor. I totally recommend him to anyone that has any foot/feet issues fromthe smallest to the most complex. This is why heis rated the number 1 Podiatrist in Dallas.

I have to say that Dr. Legel has truly been a great help to me. He took the time to meet with me and understand each of my issues. He worked with me through a series of treatments to find the right solution for me. He was an advocate for me when dealing with the insurance company, working through the challenges to gain approvals, and fighting through the denials until a resolution was made.
