Smart and compassionate healer
Dr Richards recently cared for me after a motor vehicle crash. I was very upset and concerned about my injuries and he was very reassuring and treated my pain appropriately with anti-inflammatories. I really appreciate him not over medicating me with opioids. He was helpful in telling me about the importance of heat and ice in my recovery. The entire ER staff was wonderful and I appreciate their care. I would recommend Dr Richards to anyone in need of emergency room care. Thanks Dr Richards!

**Review for Dr. Richard’s - Local ER** I recently had a disappointing experience with Dr. Richard at my local ER following a motor vehicle accident. While he was pleasant and did provide me with an anti-inflammatory shot, there were several concerning inconsistencies in his notes that left me feeling frustrated and unheard. Firstly, Dr. Richard only referenced my prior issues without acknowledging the new problems I presented after the accident. He misrepresented my words in his MyChart notes, recording things I didn’t say or even the opposite of my statements. As someone who lives with chronic pain, I’m accustomed to high pain levels and the struggles that come along with it, yet Dr. Richard seemed to overlook my current situation and did not seem to grasp the complexities of adjusting to pain that may set in after the adrenaline wears off. One of the most troubling aspects of my visit was his decision to decline X-rays for my new injuries, despite my concerns. I explicitly communicated that I wanted imaging to assess my condition, but he dismissed this request and instead referred me back to my primary care physician and specialists. Overall, I left the ER feeling invalidated and as though my concerns were minimized. While I appreciate the anti-inflammatory treatment, it’s disheartening to have a doctor who does not fully engage with or understand the unique challenges of patients with chronic pain, especially after a significant incident like an MVA. I would not recommend Dr. Richard for acute issues related to new injuries, as his approach left me feeling more frustrated than helped.
