not sure there could be a less caring doctor
Kelly McGuigan has the worst bedside manner. She is rude and condescending. I asked her a question and she laughed in my face. The entire appointment she was rushing and it was clear she did not care about helping me in any way, she just wanted to move onto the next patient. This was my first visit with her and my last. I don’t recommend her to ANYONE. She was also an hour late, but it wouldn’t have been that bad if she was at least somewhat attentive during the appointment. Stay away from Kelly McGuigan.

Best dermatologist
Dr. McGuigan combines a great bedside manner with highest level professional competence. She takes the time to listen very carefully, and then shares her observation and plan of action in sufficient detail that I, as a lay person, and fully understand what she intends to do. Over the years, Dr. McGuigan has performed numerous surgical procedures on me. Each time she is readily accessible if I have any follow up questions. If I call and need to see her urgently, she makes herself available. Can one ask for anything more than this?

She saved my life.
I have had 3 primary melanomas,1 irregular nevi and 1 basal cancer and she is the only doctor who found one of these-- a melanoma. I found the other 4. The melanoma she found was very early and honestly i would not have pegged it as a melanoma. Yes, she is short and direct and doesn't do a lot of chit chat, but she knows what she is doing and id trust her anytime to look at my skin. I don't need chit chat , i need a doctor who spots melanoma, understands how it grows. THANK YOU Dr. McGuigan!!!!!!

Long wait, quick exam
Very brief and businesslike. I waited 45 minutes in the reception area and 10 minutes in the examining room. When she came in, she was not even there for five minutes. She was not rude and I think she was thorough, but there is no real connection established with patients.

Appointment was super behind, then she was short, snippy and rude then rushed back out. Third time seeing her and will be finding a new doctor.

Dr. McGuigan and staff are very accommodating and professional. She treated me for an acute issue and I was seen very quickly. I would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone seeking a dermatologist.

I was a patient for quite a while with this provider. I found her to be knowledgeable and efficient overall. However, I ultimately went to another provider because I didn't really care for her bedside manner. For me, a healthcare provider should be warm, friendly, and engaging. This was not my experience with this provider and, with the necessity of frequent visits for my skin condition, I decided to find someone else who had the skills but also the personality I was looking for.

Spent little time with me and was not thorough. Was my first time for skin check and I was only given a cursory look. One place that I called to her attention was dismissed. Ended up needing Mohs and plastic surgery later/

Dr. McGuigan offered solutions for my skin problems, but I was rushed in and out the door so quickly I felt she was barely paying me any attention. She did not go into detail on anything and just seemed to want to get out as quick as possible. The staff was also very unfriendly, over the phone and in person. I won’t be returning.

Kelly McGuigan is great and I highly recommend her but the office needs to address the wait time issues. I'd still go back because I like her better than other doctors I have visited and they all had longer than average wait times too, but not as long!

My teenager was a patient of Dr. McGuigan's. She seemed knowledgeable, but the wait times were so bad that, after 4 visits we found another dermatologist. It didn't matter whether we were the first appointment of the day or in the middle, she was always very late - average wait time 45 minutes. Once we came in and there was only one other patient, and we still waited 35 minutes. The front desk staff was rude and acted as if I was bothering them when I asked how much longer we'd have to wait.
