I went into ankle surgery for the second time. The first surgery anesthesia nerve block I never received whether it was done wrong or what I have no idea. I was anxious and quite scared to go through this surgery. I told Dr. Frew about my experience thinking she would give me peace of mind instead she became defensive, belligerent and patronizing. I was shocked and almost canceled surgery. My surgeon calmed me down and the surgery proceeded with no issues. To have the anesthesiologist tell that “There was no way that happened; she has no way of taking all of the pain away for days” (which I never said or intimated) and general argumentative attitude. I thought I was going to get a reassuring 5-10 minute conversation from a Dr. I’d ask for a different anesthesiologist if she is assigned to you.
