Horrible, rude, lacks empathy. Didn’t care
I was seen by Kelly Feeley at Cottage ER on 4 18 2024. I was in severe pain and had suffered a fall. I have a chronic illness and have to go to the hospital often due to severe pain and falling. Kelly was judgmental, didn’t take an xray of the areas on my body I fell, touched an extremely painful part of my body without asking, and made assumptions that I wasn’t there because I actually needed help.Kelly asked if I was taking a medication I was allergic to that clearly states I am in my chart that she read. She said I was probably “just sore.” She said “I guess we can give you one morphine pill like last time and get you out of here.” She was incredibly rude. I don’t feel safe going back to this hospital now. She has terrible bed side manor and needs to seriously work on her implicit biases towards others. I will be reporting her. Nobody should be treated this way. Especially when they are in so much pain.

Lacked empathy, rushed abnormal test result
I went to the ER because I was having several sx. I was clearly worried and didn't know what actions to take. Dr. Feeley was off the bat inconsiderate and rude. She practically stated that I had no reason to be there because they dealt with 'heart attacks and strokes and serious things' Was I in pain? no. However, I have been experiencing sx. that are considerable and clearly something is wrong. I got the basic bloodwork done, and she cae in to discharge and said 'Everything is normal....oh, but your thyroid is off' and then quickly walked out before I could ask her any questions at all. She practically ran out, it was so unprofessional and strange. Come to find out, my thyroid levels are completely off and abnormal. Yet apparently this wasn't 'serious' enough for her to spend her time on.

Dr. Feeley lacks professionalism and empathy – Feb 03, 2024

Said: “If you want a narco I’ll just give you one”
I’ve had pelvic pain for a while, but this week it escalated to excruciating pain on my left side. Dr. Feeley lacked any compassion, did not listen and said “if you want a narco I’ll just give you one, but I’m not sure what your goal is for being here”. Not only did I not get treated, but I was humiliated. It’s already a vulnerable thing to talk about. I’m on my way now to get checked somewhere else to make sure an ovarian cyst I have did not rupture or that there isn’t something more serious going on. When a 26 year old can’t breathe because they’re in so much pain, that should at least require compassion and basic human empathy.
