Office staff
Dr. Kovalovich is an excellent Dr & I highly recommend him. However, his office staff is another story. They are rude & it’s nearly impossible to get an appointment. I called them for nearly two weeks, left messages & sent emails and no one from that office would return my call. I finally went to the office to find out why they would not respond. They told me I was never seen there,(I’ve been going there for years ), even face to face with them they told me they were booking 4 to 5 months out & I could not be seen & I should just go to my family Dr. The office nurse was asked to come out & speak to me but she did not even have the courtesy to come out to see me. Their PR is unacceptable & the staff is rude & uncaring. Excellent Dr but the staff is pathetic. What is so difficult about the courtesy of a return phone call. I am a retired office nurse & would never ignore a patient who was calling for assistance.

A Doctor who knows how to think, not what to think
Telehealth
6 Doctors in my room. Dr K was only one that had the right answer to my problem. Took time to think, didn't say much initially, then when he spoke had the correct solution. Probably saved my life or at least minimized my time to heal.

I was having stomach pain. After 1 office visit I was scheduled for an Endoscopy. Dr. Kovalovich saw it was acid reflux. He prescribed protomix. After 6 mths. of Taking the Potomac’s just once a day, my acid reflux was healed. That was 15 years ago. I have no stomach pain still to this day. Dr. Kovalovich and his staff were very professional and thorough

Doctor - 5 Stars; Office - Negative 4 stars. The doctor is fantastic - very competent and thorough, but also easy to talk with, and he spends time talking with me. However, the office has become horrible. I call and get the answering system which puts me into a loop requiring me to press "2" to get back to the ring or it hangs up. I've been calling for 40 minutes so far today, have pressed "2" 52 times (I'm still calling) , and been hung up on 4 times - each time after hearing a rustling, so I know a person did it. Once a person answered, but apparently they'd hit the wrong button (I wasn't the person they thought I was) so they put me back into the loop - and hung up on me later.

I was highly recommended to Dr. Kovalivich. I never got to Actually meet him until the day of my procedure, so I can’t fairly judge someone that I do not really know. However, since the procedure, I have left him Several phone messages because my medication is not working. Each time the receptionist assured me he received my message and would return my call. A week later and I still have no return phone call. Very disappointed.

Dr Kovolovich saved my life! My colon cancer was caught early because of him. My oncologist told me no other Dr would of found it that early! ! Is bedside manner is remarkable and he is very humble. He takes the time to talk to you before and after surgery! He made my nightmare a lot easier just by listening! I would highly recommend him!!

Without his expertise I would not be here today. He made sure I did not leave Phoenixville Hospital until I was sent to Penn Hospital.
