Dr. Keith Moody, DO

This doctor was unfortunately in the ER when I went. She was slow to see me. I waited in the room for over an hour. She was rude. To make matters worse she missed what was wrong and I ended up admitted to another hospital 2 days later with a full body infection. If you see this woman, go somewhere else if you can.

Dr. Moody is probably the best family doctor we ever had. He was very thorough and very intelligent and up to date. I haven't seen him in 8 or 9 years, because we moved to Kalamazoo. He was working with the medical students from MSU and I'm sure that helped to keep him informed. I never minded waiting in his waiting room, because when he saw me there was no hurry. He answered my questions, corrected my erroneous self-diagnoses with good humor and solved many of my health issues. After moving to Kalamazoo, it was hard to find a family physician of his high caliber. If they were rated well, they were retired or not taking new patients. Unfortunately in today's medical world, they rely on computers and there aren't enough doctors to see us all. We will have to look to physicians assistants and nurse practioners.

Good. Dr. Moody was my doctor for many years until the McLaren system came to town. They started to tell doctors what to do, how to do it, and how high to jump. They took true doctoring out of the hands of the doctors and set them all in front of a computer. Hands on doctoring just does not exist anymore. It is a crying shame and is discusting. How does a doctor know about and enlarged liver or spleen without palpating the abdomen? This just does not happen. And getting any kind of referral is next to impossible! Dr. Moody may not have always been agreeable but he was always there to listen. If there was a complaint about a particular body part then he looked, felt or did what ever was needed. Sorry to have seen him go. If I lived in Traverse City now I would certainly look him up.

Extremely judgmental and rude. Had already decided what was wrong long before gathering all the necessary information. Although very thorough, unwilling to consider any other possibilities. Reminds me of TV Dr. House's rude, obnoxious behavior but without the brilliant medical mind.
