Dr Michael listens and explains in detail. He makes his patients fill at ease and I feel truly cares about his patients. I would recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Michael reviewed my issues for a second opinion for a diagnosis Spinal Stenosis. He was very clear and gave me all the options that are available to relieve the issue. He then gave me his recommendation of doing spinal Laminoplasti. He said this procedure would give me the fastest recovery and would allow me more range of motion than the other procedures. He was cery honest in telling me he was unsure how fast the symptoms I displayed would go away but they would not get worse. He did a fantastic job. My strength was back almost immediately in my hands. Now 1.5 years after the operation, my range of motion is a bit better left to right, but forward and back have remained about the same and I have nothing but great things to say about Dr. Michael. He was true to his word that my symptoms would not get worse . I am better now than before I had the operation. I am a little better everyday.

Having been in pain and trying every non invasive procedure offered my experience with Dr. Michael and his team was seamless. Dr. Michael listened to my concerns and offered options for my condition.

Dr. Michael was very condensing and made me feel like an idiot. He acted like I was making up my chronic and unrelenting back pain. He just stared at me when I was trying to elaborate on my pain and show him where it was stemming from. Blank stares. He read my X-rays and MRI and basically acted like nothing was wrong with me. He made me feel very uncomfortable and I didn’t trust him from the beginning. Not a warm doctor, very business like. Very robotic. He made me feel like I was wasting his time. I also waited over an hour for him to come into the patient room to talk to me. Good things about the appointment-loved his PA! Checking in procedures and X-rays went quickly.

I am so thankful I found Dr. Michael as my surgeon! I previously went to 2 doctors who did not know what they were talking about. I was in such severe pain, I could barely function. Dr. Michael and his staff quickly updated my X-rays and correctly diagnosed me at the first visit. He printed off my x-rays and explained them to me so I could thoroughly understand. He explained treatment options, then told me what he suggested. I never thought surgery would be the fix, but it was the only fix for me. Dr. Michael even pulled out his cell phone and scheduled my surgery in his office!! I was astonished and so pleased! Surgery, my hospital stay, and every appointment afterwards has been amazing. I am 9 months post op, and I'm feeling great! I would recommend Dr. Michael any time of any day. He is so kind and educating, but he certainly knows exactly what he is talking about. He made me and my fiance feel very comfortable with the procedure and very confident in his abilities.

My experience at Grady wasn’t the best although not the worst but having Dr. Michael was a redeeming moment. He is very professional. He listens and thinks of the best possible solution. I pray that he was placed in my life at the time and all is well.

Can't say enough about Dr. Michel, his and the hospital staff and the whole Emory experience. First -- my surgery worked. Three weeks into recovery. Some manageable localized pain that is diminishing. But my lower body feels better/stronger than it has in almost two years. l am already doing things I couldn't begin to do pre-surgery -- when I couldn't walk more than 20 yards without stopping. Not to be overly-dramatic, but feel like I'm getting my life back.The whole process has been so well managed -- great pre and post surgery information, total accessibility, no waits, caring staff. My thanks to the whole care team.

Dr. Michael understood my frustration with years of tests, impractical care, etc., & maintained a kind professional manner. Dr. Keith Michael took the time to understand the history of my spine related issues, previous MRI studies, etc., and the nature of my injuries. Dr. Michael then asked pertinent questions, determined that the needed MRI had never been done at any time, has ordered that MRI & will meet with my husband & I to discuss the findings. I appreciate Dr. Michael & his caring staff.

Dr Michael changed my life and I couldn't be happier. I had a herniated disc that was debilitating and crippling me. He performed my surgery and I immediately began to feel better. Dr.. Micheals is the most patient and understanding doctor I've ever met. He has a great sense of humor. He has always gone beyond the call of duty for all of his patient.
