Physician Review
Great Primary Care Provider. I have been a patient for about 5 years (or maybe longer). Relatively easy to get an appointment quickly. Almost always on schedule. Attentive, but on “purpose,” focusing on the reason you came and not so much on your golf game or something else like that. And the staff working with him are all excellent too. Both my wife and I use Dr. Lobel.

Bedside manner gone
Dr Lobel doesn’t take time anymore to explain health issues. He has lost his friendly attitude and is impatient.

This guy could cost you your life. Stay away.
Per other reports, he will gaslight you w/ anti depressants for anything he doesn't know which could have cost me my life. Booked flight home after becoming ill in Amazon w/ Malaria like symptoms (2 weeks thrashing around in my sweat in a hut). Shrugs his shoulders says 'idk you're fine go live life'. No referral to ID - black balled me from care + referrals - violating dozen CDC standards for ANY symptomatic traveler. Became ill again w/ high eosinophils. Got gastroparesis w/ 15+ lbs weight loss. I was skeletal. Left me to rot for MONTHS gaslighting w/ anti-depressants as I progressed. Referred myself to GI. Scoped + biopsied in days. He dropped me immediately to cover his butt when wrong. Put on kitchen sink of anitibiotics + Doxy which prob. saved my life w/ body wide lymph node flare. Followed by neuro, rheum, etc. for next few years to clean up his mess w/ numerous invasive procedures and out of state travel to research clinics for issues I have now due to him.

Okay for basic tests
I find that Dr. Lobel is okay for things like blood tests but I don't think that he's ever actually helped me when I've gone in with a problem. He never seems to have a clue as to what it could be. He's more of a clearing house for specialists it seems.

Advises but never pushes tests that are "advised" based on age. Accepts choices I am making in reference to health. Easy to talk to.

Reported hands & feet cold, hair dry, brittle, falling out, constipation, fatigue (all symptoms of hypothyroidism); told me I was healthier than 90% of the population & I had plenty of hair (dismissed my complaints); he offered me antidepressants on 2 occasions - I declined (I was not pill seeking). He told me my thyroid was fine. Got copy of my records, found new doctor - Positive thyroid peroxidase level in my chart x 5yrs. New doctor dx: Malnutrition, malabsorption, Leaky Gut from Gluten,
