Dr. Keith Chu, MD

I had my first appointment last week. The staff was very attentive and professional. My initial observations are: 1) He is very direct and to the point. Explained everything and answered all of my questions 2) Very intelligent. I liked his sense of humor and felt comfortable 3) I felt he truly cared. If anything changes I will update my review.

I think their staff do an excellent job in explaining their procedures in preparing us for what we are to do in order to maintain our health and post our information to Our Chart for us to review.

Visits with Dr. Chu are always pleasant and I leave with questions answered. And his staff is awesome. Love the ultrasound staff.????

Dr Chu and his staff are very pleasant and efficient. Dr. Chu answers your questions and explains whereas you can understand! I would recommend him to family and friends!

Not the best option. My wife was a patient of his. We no longer want to use him as a Cardiologist and lost all faith in him operating. He would accuse her of taking medication she was not taking. He would suggest one procedure and make plans to move forward. Only for a few days later to cancel it and say let's monitor and see what happens because things weren't as bad. The mixed messages. The accusations of taking medications and us thinking he might make decisions off of his false assumptions. After wasting several months of our time, where my wife could be further along with her care and recovery using another, more capable doctor, we lost all hope and faith in Dr. Chu. To the point where I told my wife if she was on his operating table and something happened, I would have a hard time believing he did everything he could to prevent that from happening. I would advise anyone and everyone to stay as far away from Dr. Chu as possible. If you value your health and life.

Very good bedside manner. Explains medical issues in plain English. Listens to patient question and gives easy to understand answers.

I’ve been seeing, Dr. Chu, since I moved here, from the Midwest. I believe, my care has been a lot better! He always, address my concerns.... He’s truly the real deal. I have no plans, to change, cardiologist in the near future.

Dr. Chu treated my parents and is now my cardiologist. Dr. Chu is a very straightforward type of doctor who will tell you things fairly directly. I prefer this style so I am very pleased with the experiences I have had with him as both a caregiver and a patient.

It is a pleasure to have been asked to write a review of Carient Heart & Vascular practice. Dr. Keith Chu is the cardiologist that I see for evaluations and consultation concerning my health issues. Manassas, Virginia is the location of the practice I visit and the office staff and nurses are attentive and have good people skills. The reception room as well as treatment rooms are furnished in good taste and are clean and orderly. Staff are positive and timely with their responses from arrival to discharge from the appointments. Even though Dr. Chu's Manassas location is a 30 to 45 minute drive from my home, it is worth it as he is always on time for my appointments, listens to what I have to say, communicates his thoughts and recommendations clearly and is open to questions when they arise. I trust his judgement and recommend Dr. Keith Chu and his staff to those who may be in need of a cardiologist.

Absolutely horrible. Ignored my abnormal EKG, jabbed me in the chest with his finger and diagnosed me without any tests even though I have cardiac history /surgeries with family members who've died at the age of 32 from heart attacks. He did not care and put his hands over my EKG saying it was nothing. Told me to take 2400mg of ibuprofen per day for 30 days to "permanently cure my chest pain." He ordered tests after I repeatedly asked with discontentment. I would not recommend

Dr. Chu is awesome - can be a bit abrasive but most people need a wake up call and I for one appreciate a doctor that is willing to tell me what I need to hear - he has my best interests at HEART.

Dr Chu did a great job of evaluating my condition. His follow-up was timely and he's very personable. Both my wife and I have seen him, and would recommend him!

Terrible experience, this doctor neglected to communicate negative test results. Failure to communicate caused a family member of mine to live unknowingly with heart failure for 3 months until a visit to the emergency room presented the diagnosis.

Dr. Chu explains medical conditions and procedures in very easy to understand terms. He listens when you ask a question and is very good in answering your question. He spends time with his patients and does not seem to hurry them along. I feel very comfortable with him as my doctor and trust his recommendations and decisions.
