Dr. Rajan should be barred from practicing medicine. I am shocked at her lack of knowledge of infectious diseases, particularly when treating the elderly. As a result of her incompetence and unresponsiveness to a critical condition, my father is in grave danger of losing his hand or arm after being exposed to a Bartonella henselae infection. Treatment requires an immediate response of high-dosage antibiotics to those with weakened immune systems, as in the case of my 93-year old father who has Parkinson's disease and after 24-hours of no response from Dr. Rajan, the infection spread rapidly and may have entered his blood stream and lymph nodes. We finally found another doctor to treat his condition, but it may have been too late. Dr. Rajan works on call at the Tradition - Woodway Assisted Living facility, and please be warned not to use Dr. Rajan if you value the health and well-being of your elderly loved ones.
