Cardiac Arrest
Dr Patankar saved my life performing an emergency cardiac catheterization, when I came into the emergency department at Riverside. Community Hospital. I have severe heart disease, cardiomyopathy, and have a pacemaker. I have never met. him since I was unconcious for several hours. If his bedside manner is as good as his caring and technical skills, I give him a 5 Star rating.

I find him to be an exceptional cardiologist.
Except for the one hour in busy waiting room, once in the exam room, it was only a 10 to 12 minute wait. I give Dr Patankar a five-star rating. Well experienced. He is pleasant to converse with, has a sense of humor, and displays genuine concern during visit.

He’ll ghost you
My son with Huntington’s disease had a heart attack. He had an angiogram and a stent placed. As his caregiver, I never once talked to Dr. Patankar nor was I given the procedure results from this doctor . . . Not even after the procedure. I informed the hospital staff numerous times of my son’s cognitive impairment yet Dr. Patankar would not talk to me. Two days after he left the hospital, a nurse called asking if I wanted to schedule a follow up appointment with this doctor. No thank you!!!

It took 45 minutes to book an an appointment for a phone consultation. Got a call confirming consultation appointment 2 days before. One hour after appointment time, no call from Dr. Pantankar so I call the office to confirm. After being on hold for 15 minutes, they told me he was running behind and would call shortly. Another hour goes by and still no call from Dr. Pantankar so I call the office to confirm. After being on hold for an another 25 minutes, they said his staff could not be reached. Finally, after over 3 hours from original appointment time, Dr. Pantankar called and told me he was confused about his schedule was apologetic. I told him I was not interested and have a nice day. I don't know why anyone would trust their health to someone that manages an office with such poor organizational skills. I would have gave zero stars, but you have to give at least one.

I had the worst experience ever with this doctor. I went into the Riverside Community Hospital to undergo an Angiogram. He spoke with me briefly while I was waiting for the procedure to start, but only kept it to, "Hello, how are you?" That's it! Then, immediately after the procedure, he stated that I cannot receive a stint, because my clogging issue is only in very small veins. I started asking questions, but then he suddenly walked away, and said, "I'll talk to you later." He NEVER DID!
