Dr. Katrina Mercado, MD

The doctor herself is fine but the front desk staff is awful. They scheduled me a month out and I waited but they gave me the wrong time that they put in the system. They also did not have my records from my ultrasound or refused to give them to me. No reminder of any appointment as well on my phone and extremely rude and dismissive.

I scheduled an appointment 3 months ago as a new patient with Dr. Katrina Mercado for today and she canceled. I didn't receive a phone call so I went to her office and that's when I was informed she had a to cancel my appointment for personal reasons. The receptionist Karen rescheduled me for the following month, because that is her earliest opening. This is very unprofessional and I will report it.

Dr. Mercardo is an excellent doctor and she always goes out of her way to make sure I get the treatment that I need. I would highly recommend her, she is the best!

Dr. Mercado is kind, caring, thorough, and responsive.

New location is a significant improvement over the last location. As a Dr, she is attentive and thorough. She is culturally astute and addresses the physical implications of medicines and test results.

The majority of staff are incompetent, I needed refills on prescriptions so the office staff refilled every prescription I ever took, except the ones I needed whether current or not, saw Dr Mercado she didn't do half the stuff she said she was going to do during my visit, I work in healthcare and know better or one of the prescriptions they refilled could have hurt me, if you value your life watch out these people can hurt

I like mercardo- she’s young and tends to listen to the problems you feel you may have. However, I don’t appreciate her staff and her fill in telling me I can’t get basic blood work done before my appt with her next week as she may not approve it. I think it’s asinine for me to go in and not have blood work done. Thank goodness my insurance is dropping them so it gives me the excuse to find a new pcp who can discuss blood work DURING my appt. Not after

Unfortunately, after several attempts to give Dr. Katrina Mercado a chance to step it up, I have nothing but helpful advice to give. Her bedside manner needs allot of work. The medical profession should be able to care for the patient and have some type of relationship with the patient. I always felt rushed and always referred out to others. She spends 5 minutes with you and out you go. No questions - very sterile personality. I need more from my doctor at least one that can remember who I am.

I’ve been her patient for 3-1/2 years. She gives good guidance on a wide range of health matters. This year she has rushed more through the appts. A friend I referred 3 years ago no longer sees her because of this. Sometimes we have more questions and need more time. ;-)

I have been a patient of Dr. Mercado's for three years now and she listens and answers questions, but appointments often feel rushed. For the past two years, Dr. Mercado frequently calls out and cancels my appointment. In the past, she has called in sick at least three times when I scheduled an appointment with her. It is very frustrating to take time off to go see her and find out that she called in yet again. My husband is also a patient and he hasn't been able to see her for two years now because she regularly calls out. If it was easier to find female doctors I would very eagerly switch providers.

Dr. Mercado is very thorough and understanding. I'm a firm believer in nutrition and she's open to combining alternative approaches to wellness in addition to the standard medical approach. Very friendly staff and efficient office.

Scheduled an appointment for my annual physical with Dr Mercado after my previous doctor moved. I have to go annually to have blood taken in order to get my daily prescription renewed. Appointment was made 2 months in advance but when I showed was told the doctor was busy and would not be able to see me. I was fine as long as they would write a refill for me. Then all of a sudden she was available . She was rushed when she came in and told me she had read my chart and unless there was something new that she would write my prescription. She did not try to get to know me as a new patient and I'm looking for another new physician. I was the last patient of the day and the whole office was trying to close up ( I was on time for my appointment ).

Definite agreement with ALL of the one star reviews, actually a zero star would be more appropriate. Katrina Mercado (lets leave off the credentials, not deserved) is afraid to prescribe needed controlled substances in fear of losing her job. Not opoid medications, just controlled substances in general. Katrina doesn't even ask about your medical history before she immediately jumps to her conclusion. Sad, inexperienced and not worth the time, go elsewhere and find a knowledgeable MD . According to her philosophy "I believe I am an empathetic and a physician who pays close attention to detail and I find it important to treat patients as if they were a family member." NOT TRUE, FAKE! Said to know she is part of the Dignity Health Medical Group that promotes humankindness.

I have been a patient of Dr. Mercado’s since November of 2017. I have been trying to get in to see her for the last 7 months and have been unable to because she calls in sick the day of my appointment. This is the third consecutive appointment of mine that she has called out sick for. Being a teacher I am unable to just come in a few hour late or take a long lunch to fit a doctors appointment into my day. Also it is not fair to my students or myself to have to take a full day off of work to get

Poor listener and very difficult to address my issue. Took her 10 seconds to check my troath including trying to find the flashlight to look deep. By the way , I do not have infective disease or bubonic plague. Left me for 25 minutes in the room to find out she was with another patient instead resolving the issue about my prescription. I’m sure she will charge couple hundred dollars for her 2 minutes work . She doesn’t deserve 1 star.

Amazing doctor! Down to earth, patient, friendly, and knows her stuff. She spent ample amount of time with me and addressed all my concerns. She even sent me away with handwritten notes on how to best treat the issue. HIGHLY recommended. The ENTIRE staff is top-notch, too.

Prescribes lots of medication but doesn't try to find cause of symptoms. Gets annoyed if you don't want to take the drugs. & doesn't like to answer questions. She doesn't listen, jumps to wrong conclusions. Has 1 foot out the door during exam, but keeps you waiting for 30min. Others have given good review-my whole family hasn't had good experience w/her each time we've seen her. Can't wait to change insurance & get a dr that cares & does her job well.

I am not one to go to a doctor unless absolutely necessary. However, I was exceedingly happy with Dr. Mercado. She is friendly, relational, knowledgable, thorough and attentive. I am so pleased to have found her and have already recommended her to a friend.

She is a wonderful doctor and takes her time with me.
