Dr. Weichman is wonderful. I had a breast reduction in 2015 and my wounds had never closed. after years of trying everything, I was referred to Dr. Weichman. She got my wounds closed, but unfortunately, they reopened about 4 months later. She said that a would need surgery, to remove scar tissue and that she would send it to pathology, so we could get to the bottom of this. Apparently I had a staph infection, got that treated. Now she has said that everything is healing great and the skin looks healthy.

This provider has a pleasant personality but isn't the correct doctor for cosmetic surgery. Her area of focus is cancer surgery and even with that incisions will be excessive. Prices are great comparatively but corrective surgery, to the extent that her incisions can be excised and redone, will be expensive and may not be aesthetically anymore acceptably. Recommend reading all reviews carefully to get a good sense of what to expect.

I saw her for cosmetic breast revision surgery. Communicated in advance to ensure specific experience. Was disappointed in consult to realize that she is unfamiliar with the procedure, including the required incision for en bloc capsulectomy, and when this surgery is needed. This all comes with experience. She doesn't correct asymmetry as part of breast revision, showing is doesn't understand that it is reconstructive in nature. Then I found a surgeon who performs pocket adjustment as part of the surgery and as favor, suggested she be present in the OR. The other surgeon was agreeable and would thereby be able to sharpen his department's skills. Rather than be grateful, she acted to ensure her superior would not know that she's unfamiliar and brought about the cancellation of the surgery. She needs to improve her communication with patients as well own up to the work she's skilled at doing and not. Don't recommend her for cosmetic surgery.

I had my surgery in 2016. I had an overall good experience with Dr. Weichman. The scheduling and consultation went well. I asked questions as they came up and was advised on the surgical technique being used and what I’d need post op. I felt pretty confident with her skills going in and the surgery went well. I don’t recall any daily follow up from the office after the surgery. NYC had a heat wave and the skin around my incisions weren’t healing well and I developed some bad scarring under the breast that still hasn’t returned to normal and my left areola scar seems to be widening. Five years later I can say that although I am satisfied with my breast shape the T anchor technique could have been better. My scars run from directly between my breasts and come up underneath my arms and make me embarrassed to wear skin baring tops. In hindsight, I would have asked her to be as minimal as possible in her cutting as I’ve seen other similar reductions whose scars aren’t as visible.
