She was the pediatrician for my child after I gave birth. Dr. Machanda was horrible for my husband and I. On our last day she tried to keep us another night because our child had lost some of their birth weight (which is normal) not only did she try to make us stay another night she and the nurse tried to force us to give formula when I wanted to breastfeed. I’m a first time mom and she made me feel like it was my fault my milk hadn’t come in yet. I was told I needed to pump which led to an oversupply and mastitis when I got home. We had to fight to not stay another night and she would only release our child if we had their first doctor’s appointment the next day. She made us feel like our child wasn’t doing well by exaggerating the truth. We found out that at our appointment the next day.

Dr Katie is a great doctor! She is so good with my twins. She's been their ped doc since they were born. She's always so patient and takes time to listen and access the situation whenever I had concerns. I would recommend her to others.
