I am a psychotherapist myself and grant Dr Kanner a perfect score in all areas. She is a treasure and ageless. I am probably old enough to be her mother and found her to be insightful, practical and humorous. She is also an MD and extremely knowledgable. Dr. Kathryn Kanner is an exceptional psychiatrist. She is professional, intelligent, engaging, and above all, compassionate. She is also very accessible and responsive; she uses luminello which provides a portal for patients to schedule appointments and directly email her with questions. I cannot recommend her more enthusiastically for anyone looking for balanced medication management and psychotherapy treatment.

Very caring and understanding. She makes suggestions for medication change, but doesn't push if you don't want to make the change. She did leave Dignity Health/St. Joes. Her new website is Kannerpsychiatry.com.

Listens carefully and makes suggestions on how to better understand myself. I finally think I have the correct diagnosis and am being treated correctly. Very understanding and empathetic.... So sorry she left St Joe's and trying to find her again. Left for private practice December 2016.

Changed my meds and did not support me when they did not work and I had to take off work. Told me I did not need blood levels for lamictal...that was incorrect. I no longer trust her help. I thought she was a good doctor, I was wrong.
