Dr. Kathryn Gottschalk, DO

I saw that Dr. Gottschalk had a 50% rating (a 5 star and a 1 star review) so I wanted to share my experience. I've been through the medical system more than I care to explain, so I've lost faith in a lot of doctors. Thus, I hold them to higher standards than their bosses and corporate overlords do. Seeing a new provider is always a gamble but Dr. Gottschalk is actually amazing. She's kind, genuinely caring, and receptive to concerns. I'm super excited to have her as part of my care team.I will say that I'm not impressed with the team she currently has at the Advent Health office. As a new patient, I was rescheduled twice. One of those times took 40 minutes and a manager to get rescheduled. In person, I don't find her nurses to be very personable but I've certainly had worse and I wouldn't hold that against Dr. Gottschalk herself.Overall, I think it's worth the pain of dealing with a less-than-ideal team, to be able to see a quality physician. Hopefully they'll make improvements.

I had crazy complications during my pregnancy and had my fair share of OBs. Dr. Gottschalk is by far my favorite. Kind, empathetic and straightforward. I feel like I learn a lot from her and I feel like my needs matter. When I saw she had only 1 star. Blew my mind. I HIGHLY recommend going to see her.

I had made an appointment with Dr. Gottschalk as a new patient early 2022 and the earliest I could get in was in June 2022. This office changed my appointment 4 TIMES!!! My final appointment was scheduled Friday November 18, 2022 and 2 days before that they called to confirm with me and get my health history over the phone, that was at 2 pm. At 4:59 pm, 1 minute before the office closed, they called me to reschedule my appointment for a fifth time because the dr had an "emergent" c-section scheduled for Friday. How is an "emergent" c-section scheduled 48 hours in advance?? I cancelled my appointment and spoke with the office manager. I was told that they were understaffed and that she would be glad to make a future appointment for me. I declined. I would highly suggest people stay away from this office if you want good healthcare. ADVENT HEALTH needs to do better
