OTHER doctors save the day!
Surgery was performed by Dr. Cameron to remove my stage three colon cancer. Four days after the initial surgery, my colon burst due to the repair being over cauterized. Everything that happened after the initial surgery is on her mistake! Including, an additional surgery required this year. (2024) I was told it was a blister the size of a thumbnail causing the rupture by the surgeon who had to fix her mistake with emergency surgery on Christmas Eve. It was touch and go after that. OTHER doctors told my wife there was nothing more that could be done. My small intestines shut down. The incision on my abdomen failed and spread apart along with my abdominal muscles. Thanks to Dr. Trombold in Springfield advising OTHER doctors who sought his advice, things turned around. A later scan showed fluid around my spleen to be an abscess, but she disagreed with the tech saying it was surgical fluid. Wrong! I’m left with a hernia the size of a basketball that requires more surgery, pain and expense.

Nice but...
After a procedure I was still in some pain, which was explained I would be uncomfortable. However, after many days of not feeling well & several phone calls to the office, I still have not had a response a week later.I understand doctors are busy but if the office isn't able to relay messages back & to the patient perhaps, take on less patients or hire more office staff.

I had a colonoscopy today & Dr Cameron was the physician. When I arrived at Cox Medical at 6:15AM, I still had to wait for over an hour for my procedure to get started!! I even asked & I was the 2nd person to arrive for a procedure in the outpatient unit. Also, while I performed ALL the prep as instructed the day before, the doctor required that I have an enema!!! What a humiliation!!! Why did I even bother to do the prep the day before???!!! I hope not to have to deal with Dr Cameron again in the future!!!

Attitude
Dr. Cameron is a very pretty Doctor and I’m sure quite skilled. I never found out her technical prowess because she seemed to have a problem with personal communication. My appointment felt more like a interrogation then a Dr s appointment with a barrage of questions that she was almost attacking in her delivery, trying to trip me up, trying to get me to admit that I was wrong in wanting a painful and disfiguring lump removed. By the end of the appointment she had me in tears. She did offer a Kleenex as she exited the exam room which was the only sign I saw of compassion or caring she offered. Medicine is caring for the whole person and Dr Cameron failed miserably
