Great family doctor
No nonsense, caring, straight talking, and invested in my health. Can't ask for much more.

I went to see Dr. Byrd for my yearly physical. First, Dr. Byrd was stuck in traffic and took an extra 30 minutes just to get to the building. During the appointment, I advised Dr. Byrd that I would soon by getting much better insurance. Later in the appointment, Dr. Byrd inquired if I needed any prescription refills. I advised that I did not. Unbeknownst to me, she submitted prescriptions for me even though I had said no and had 6 months worth of refills left, and billed me for a “med check”. When I followed up after receiving the bill, two members of the staff interrupted me multiple times while complaining about each other’s computer set up and how anxious it was making them. They have still not fixed this billing issue and it has been over a month.

I'm not a fan of the Baylor Family Medical system but Dr. Byrd is a one of a kind physician. Dr. Byrd was the first physician to show me the meaning of quality care and the true value that a Dr. can have on your life. Before her, a Dr. was a Dr. and they were all the same. She really cares about your well-being, is extremely knowledgeable, and will tell it like it is!

Dr. Byrd is very friendly. She genuinely cares about her patients. She understands ADHD and depression; and will do everything she can to make sure the medication you're on is the right fit for you. When I had serious fatigue, she went through my night time routine and helped me find out what was causing it. I would definitely recommend her!
