Chronically Tardi
Dr. Viscusi removed a skin cancer with a Mohs procedure a few year earlier at the recommendation of my dermatologist. I had to wait over an hour to have her actually perform the initial procedure after being numbed. Fast forward a few years, my dermatologist found a few skin cancers that needed to be removed by Mohs. I was scheduled with Dr, Viscusi at 9:30 a.m. Her assistant said after numbing the area at to be treated at 9:40 a.m. that the doctor would start the procedure around 10:30 -10:40 a.m. At 11:00 a.m. I inquired as to when the procedure would start and was notified the doctor was still not in the building and had not notified her assistant of when she would arrive. Apparently she is chronically late. I canceled the appointment and the next appointment as well. GO FIND A PHYSICIAN THAT CARES ABOUT YOUR TIME. Update #1 - I was rescheduled for another 9:30 a.m. appointment on July 25th and told to show up at 10:30 a.m. Fingers crossed there is no 1 1/2 wait the next time.

Response to adversity
Dr. Viscusi performed all my Mohs surgeries for the past several years without any adverse reactions. However, it was how they handled the adverse reactions to two of the three Mohs surgeries identified at my last visit, that I am addressing. The first was an infection that occurred during surgery and the PA refused to change the bandage and clean the wound while I was in the office for my third surgery. The second involved a wound 2.6 inches by 1.2 inches by .3 inches deep that opened after being sutured twice and I was told it was ok to leave it open as it would eventually heal. After experiencing the infected wound right out of surgery, I was not comfortable walking around with an open incision. My primary care doctor immediately sent me to Wound Care. The wound finally closed completely after going to Wound Care biweekly for one month and weekly for four more months to have the bandages changed. I find their response to adversity unacceptable and will be changing dermatologists.

I originally went to Dr. Viscusi for a body check but found out she is also great for cosmetic/aesthetic treatments. I have been a patient of Dr. Viscusi's for a little over a year now and can honestly say that my skin has never looked better! She is relatable, prompt, compassionate, and thorough. Her staff is great too! Highly recommend!!

I had Mohs surgery a year ago. The skin around my eye is still pulled down and very tight. And have a lot numbness in that area. Not very compassionate. She referred me to a plastic surgeon. I do not recommend this doctor.
