Dr VanValkenburg has been my Ophthalmologist for over 20 years and has always provided myself with professional and excellent eye care, offering alternatives to ensure my allergy issues are properly addressed and resolved.

From my first consultation Dr Kathleen Van gave me the very best care, consideration and reassurance. I feel so fortunate to have had her as my ophthalmologist.. she is really one of a kind doctor. Not easy to find these days.

Always pleasant and professional. The doctor constantly displays a demeanor of skill, knowledge and compassion regarding my care.

I cut my eye and she was one of the only doctors who was able to fit me in on the same day. She made sure to schedule follow ups to make sure my eye fully recovered!

I wanted to trust Dr. Van Valkenburg based on the positives reviews. But I will not be going back to her after two visits. I went initially due to a small growth which looked like an infection in my right caruncle. When I mentioned the bump to Dr. Van, she failed so see it the first time and diagnosed it as being a chalazion. She gave me antibiotic drops with steroids for a week to treat it. I went back to her for a recheck and the growth was still there. The second visit I had to point to where the area was and then she saw what I was talking about, she claimed there was an eyelash growing out of it and asked if she can pulled it out. I trusted her and said yes. She couldn't explain what exactly I had and even her assistant didn't know what notes to write down for the appointment because she wasn't sure what Dr. Van had done. Today my right caruncle is still swollen and the small bump is bigger and disfigured now. I believe its' due to the trauma of her pulling a 'lash'.
