Dishonest Physician
In 2012, Dr. Kathleen Van Aalten served as an examiner for my Compensation & Pension Exam at the Department of Veterans Affairs. During the exam, Dr. Van Aalten omitted pertinent information that was available to her and failed to provide a professional medical opinion based on the facts and medical evidence within my military service records. Specifically, Dr. Van Aalten omitted critical evidence on my Disability Benefits Questionnaire and recorded a blood pressure reading of 178 over 98 during my exam. Despite this elevated reading, she failed to document hypertension as a contributing factor to my heart disease disability in her report to the Department of Veterans Affairs. This oversight came to light following a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request. Given this discovery, I strongly advise against relying on Dr. Kathleen Van Aalten's medical evaluations, as her actions violated the Hippocratic Oath (Do No Harm, Benefit the Sick, and Ethical Conduct).
