New patient
I am a new patient with a new diagnosis. Dr. Thomas came highly recommended and worked me into her schedule with little notice, which meant I got treated and a diagnosis MONTHS earlier than I would have. Her office staff is attentive and kind. Her nurse is incredibly competent and attentive…and I have called them multiple times between appointments. Dr. Thomas herself was kind, empathetic and is a strong advocate for me, which was just what I needed. I am so grateful to be under her care and would highly recommend her.

Terrible
The absolute worst doctor I have seen in 50 years. She was disinterested from the moment she walked into the room and could not care less. She questioned my reason for even being there although I had been treated by Dr. Lautzenhiser of this practice for decades. She had the audacity to Bill Medicare for a long session and spent no more than three minutes with me.

After trying to find another rheumatologist when I moved 3.5 hours away from Dr. Thomas, I called her office to ask her if I could please keep seeing her, even though I was so far away. I told her I tried another doctor in my area, but after almost TEN MONTHS, I was still not prescribed any medication for my RA. I had been her patient for over ten years and she welcomed me back with no hesitation. I walked out of her office with two biologic shots that I had been begging the "new" doctor to prescribe. Anyone that says she does not care, has not seen her for decades - she cares more than any physician I have ever seen.

Please don't. She was very snotty and arrogant. She did not help me at all and belittled me. I got out of there as fast as I could.

Dr. Thomas has been my rheumatologist for many years. Her thorough caring manner in treating my rheumatoid arthritis is unsurpassed. She is highly knowledgeable in the latest treatments for the disease and I am sure this is the reason my RA is so controlled. Thank you, Dr. Thomas!

Dr. Thomas was professional, knowledgeable, and relate-able. She listened and responded in a manner that was easy to understand. I'm not crazy about the diagnosis, but I already feel she'll work with and fight for her patient's health! I'm glad to have her on this journey.

I'm writing this review for all those out there that were refused an appointment by Dr. Thomas. See I didn't immediately test positive for RA through the tests my primary ran. I was referred to Dr. Thomas and waited 2 weeks without a phone call from them. My primary told me she would not see me because I had fibromyalgia not RA. Wow! A diagnoses with out seeing me impressive. long story short, My wonderful Rheumatologist Dr. Christopher Wu diagnosed me with moderate RA. Don't go to her.

Before I came to Dr. Thomas I saw one of the top Rheumatologist in Indiana that did nothing for my condition and kept prescribing medicine after medicine without finding the root cause for my symptoms. I have been seeing Dr. Thomas for approximately three years now and my pain has been GREATLY reduced and my RA went from severe to low disease activity. She has been instrumental in turning my life around for the better. I am able to continue working a full time job and moderate exercise.

As a forewarning, this physician does not treat fibromyalgia. I found her attentive and not rude at all, which was stated in previous reviews, although she is direct. I did not know she did not treat fibromyalgia until I called for my blood work results three weeks post visit, as the office forgot to call me . I'll admit to be taken aback that as a rheumatologist, this is not one of the treated conditions; perhaps I should have known. Obviously I can't speak to her care post-initial visit.

Do NOT go to Dr Thomas. She didn't even touch my husband to try to understand what is causing his pain and then charged over $300. Total rip off. Her medical license should be taken away for impersonating an MD.

I seen her as a new patient, also just finding out that I had RA. I was put on Methotrexate for treatment. This medication made me very sick, I reached out to Dr. Thomas about trying other medications and her response was this is the only medication she uses. I felt that how I felt did not matter. Very nice lady, but I felt like she was only wanted to prescribe what she wanted and not could work for my body.

I was diagnosed with RA 18 years ago and saw the same rheumatologist for 15 of those years until he moved out of state to work with research. That was not a happy day !!! I made an appointment with Dr. Thomas and was amazed that I had found an equally caring and compassionate Rheumatologist. When I see Dr. Thomas, I know that I am her priority. She listens, and works hard to keep me healthy. Her office staff is equally caring and helpful. Simply stated, an excellent group of professionals.
