Dr Shimp is a wonderful practitioner.She is thoughtful, caring, empathetic, knowledgeable. I feel very comfortable and well cared for with her.

I will be forever grateful to Dr. Shimp for taking me on as a patient. I had several issues making me a complicated ob patient, and initially they weren't going to take me on. I reached out to Dr Shimp personally and she decided to take my case. She was excellent from start to finish. She monitored my daughter and I closely and always listened to my opinion and concerns. When she got in the OR for my section I was terrified and she was so calming and compassionate. Easiest surgical recovery I have ever had. She is an exceptional Dr, surgeon, and human being. If I have any more babies I will without a doubt be going to her.

Dr. Shimp has excellent bedside manner and is very informative. My visit was quick but not rushed.

I wanted to take the time to write this review to share my brief experience with Dr. Kathleen Shimp, from Premier Woman’s Care, in hopes that no one will go through what I experienced. The practice is very large with several offices in the area. With that being said, attention to detail is lacking, one particular doctor lacked patience and empathy with poor bedside manner. I had a total of 5 scheduled visits where my appointment was scheduled incorrectly, it took more than one appointment to get my blood drawn, and when I finally got my blood drawn, IT WAS LOST. I had three doctor’s visits out of the five and the last visit with my provider, Dr. Shimp was frightful. I left confused, scared, and afraid to leave this person in my care. Due to the lack of communication within the practice, Dr. Shimp appeared overwhelmed, flustered, and unprofessional. She showed a level of low empathy and lacked compassion which is due to burnout over the years in her profession. As a person who works in the medical field, I would advise that you seek treatment elsewhere if you want empathy, compassion, professionalism, and appropriate bedside manner. If any healthcare professional is missing just one of these qualities, it could affect the health care that you receive. After reading the reviews, I wished I would have done more research. I hope this review was helpful to anyone seeking the appropriate level of care, which everyone deserves.

A Spanish girls started a fight in her waiting room n I got kicked out of her practice! Now they only take Medicare no more Medicaid Insurance because of that incident which is very unfair. She was a great doctor until this happened.

Dr Shimp is amazing. Super patient and kind. Really ensures every visit ends in a calm note.

She delivered our second child and had helped with some challenges as my body as aged. She and her staff are kind, compassionate, and take their time to make you feel so welcome, all while taking care of the challenges you're facing. I am very grateful for Dr. Shimp and her team.

I’ve seen Dr Shimp for years now and she is wonderful. She truly listens to your concerns and is so empathetic and kind. She really knows her treatments inside and out and I’ve always felt she is proactive without recommending unneeded treatments/procedures. She has always been great about following up with me. I always feel heard and cared about in her care.

Dr Shimp is very knowledgeable, caring and communicates very well explaining things in a way that is simple to understand. Because she is so good it is important to plan ahead as she is in high demand but has been well worth the wait every time!

Dr. Shimp is very smart, friendly, patient and kind. She truly cares about her patients and this is very apparent. Dr. Shimp is down to Earth. I have been a patient of hers for the last 4 years and I am very happy to have found her.

I was deferred to Dr. Shimp after my usual doctor retired from practicing. Dr. Shimp is a breath of fresh air! She's incredibly knowledgeable and well informed in the latest treatments and medical advancements. With every visit she really takes the time to talk with me, going over any concerns or questions. It's a busy practice but I've never felt like a number or that I wasn't important. Dr. Shimp and her staff are professional, friendly and very well organized. I would highly recommend them to anyone who inquired. Exceptional!

It has been two years now but she just happened to be the OBGYN on call as I was miscarrying my son at 16 weeks. Other doctors on call refused to see me but Dr. Shimp acted on my needs as a patient. I was so thankful for her care, compassion, and education on what was happening to my body. I suffered an infection and placenta removal but because of her it was not worse than it could have been. I switched to her as my primary after that, so thankful.

Dr Shimp was very attentive, answered all my questions, didn’t make me feel stupid. I really liked her manner and care. She seems very knowledgeable and kind while direct. Has a good sense of humor.
