Dr. Kathleen Norman, MD

I opted for a proceedure that I saw Dr. Norman talk about on a local TV station and made an appointment and paid over $9k up front and got no results. She never offered to give me a refund since a day before my 1 week post op appointment I could not take the stomach pain any longer and had taken myself to the ER where Dr. Norman acctually came to see me. Call me suspicious but instead of getting a diagnosis of what really happened, I was diagnosed with Diverticulitous which I never had and still don't. It would be nice if she would consider refunding me some of the money I paid since it was unsuccesful. Furthermore, it would have been the right thing to do.

I saw this doctor years ago. My periods had disappeared at 32 and I’d had weight gain. I was concerned about menopause which she wouldn’t acknowledge with me. She kept telling me to take phentermine and then come back in six months. She assured me they’d come back. The medication made me so sick. I was shaking and unable to go to the bathroom. I made an appointment and came in and she told me to keep taking the medication. Without looking at me, with her head in her computer, she told me I could take the meds and lose weight or I’d get diabetes and die. I had excellent blood work so the conversation was not appropriate and it was certainly not filled with any empathy. She made me afraid of doctors. I avoided doctors until a couple of years ago when I started getting hip pain. Both of my hips have torn. I’m riddled with arthritis. Oh and I lost weight and the periods never came back. Why? Because I’d been in early menopause for years! Please don’t go to this doctor. She is dangerous.

I'm having my first baby, therefor I was feeling extremely nervous about finding a good Doctor. Dr. Norman is amazing, she's very nice, made me feel extremely confortable since the very first visit. I would definitely recommend her to any of my friends. She's just awesome

I felt the doctor was more attentive to the student doctor than she was to me, causing unnecessary discomfort for me when I was getting my pelvic exam. Also, the doctor's comments were unnecessarily derogatory, so that her student would be properly edified on certain subject matter and not swayed by my comments. I'll only go back to her if I can't find another doctor who takes Medicare.

Dr Norman has been my GYN for 15+ years. Her current location isn't as convenient as her previous and I was hesitant to go to St. Joseph's for care. My experience was positive and am happy I decided to stay with patient. The staff is caring and well trained, plus the facility can handle all medical needs.

I have been going to Dr. Norman for over 20+ years. I just went to her for my annual exam. I don't mind having a student exam me but in the past she always did her exam then the student. This time she stood aside and watched. She didn't exam me at all. Her level of care since joining this practice has changed and I will not be returning. It is a shame because I loved going to her. I will be transferring my care.
