Dr. Kathleen Alm, MD

I went to Dr. Alm after I went off hormonal contraceptives and was having horrible side effects (anxiety, depression, my hair wasn't growing and was falling out, cold intolerance). She felt around my neck, said my thyroid was "fine" and said my anxiety is just because I'm anxious and I need an SSRI. The only thing she was willing to test my cortisol levels. She dismissed every concern I had about thyroid/adrenal/hormone issues after stopping contraceptives. Turns out after doing a cycle test, my estrogen levels are insanely low and my thyroid is also too low. I'm furious because if she would have just listened and not written me off as "anxious" I could have known what my issue was long ago and been on the road to recovery. I just felt like she wanted me to put a bandaid on my symptoms and not get to the root of the problem which was absolutely my hormones. Walked out almost in tears and will not be back. Front desk staff and nurse were very nice though!

I have been a patient of Dr. Alms, for several years. I hold her with the highest regard professionally. She is pleasant, and in my opinion interested in serving her patients needs. I've had the opportunity to go to another provider, but have declined. I trust her and her interest in her patients.

Dr. Kathleen Alm is no longer seeing patients. She retired 3/3/18.

I visited Dr Alm many times over the years and always left with a solution for continuing health and feeling positive about my progress, She treated the "whole" person and I went home more cheerful.. As for the office. Could someone fix that chipped green paint under the window in Dr Alm's examining room. It's been there since I started visiting there. her. :) Recommendation is N/A as she is retiring.

I have been under the supervision of Dr. Alm for about 15 years and was always so happy meeting with her. She has always showed such professionalism and good customer service to me. I will miss her knowledge and understanding when she retires. But certainly understand and wish her the very best.

I have been a patient of Dr. Alm’s since 1988 when she was brought to my healthcare by Dr. Janet Morgan. I have valued her medical care and advice over the years.. I would recommend her and hope other patients would be lucky to have her for their doctor.

Excellent physician, Dr. Alm is a caring conscientious doctor who listens and provides as many options as she can to the patient. She is approachable and explains maladies in laymen's terms.

I have been receiving treatment at this office for the last five years. The office staff are all professional and polite. The office and facilities are always clean and neat, just what you expect in a medical setting. Dr Alm is always kind but direct about medical care and expectations. Calls are always returned on time and they follow up in a very timely fashion. I am so glad to receive such good care. Wish I could say that about other medical providers. I highly recommend Dr Alm!

Dr. Alm is a wonderful physician. I had her 20 some years ago, and she got me through my Graves' disease. Unfortunately she was out of our network, and referred me to another Doctor. To my surprise after all these years he went out of our network. Dr. Alm was back in our network. What a blessing for me., she is caring and so easy to talk with. I have now had one appointment with her and I am looking forward for many more. I highly recommend Dr. Alm as a rheumatologist.!

She explains things in a way that anyone could easily understand. She is professional yet caring . She has been my endocrinologist for 24 years and I would be hard pressed to find any doctor who would qualify to be a better doctor than she is. She comes with my highest recommendation.

Dr Alm is well versed in her field and very concerned with her patients well being. She always listens to my concerns and always has a great game plan to keep my sugars controlled. I feel better health wise since being dr. Alm's patient
